*** Nintendo Switch ***

The price was always going to be high due to the weak value of the pound.
To state the obvious - Everything will be going up in price so get used to it :p

Was potentially going to preorder this, but then saw Nintendo being Nintendo and getting zero launch title support.

Yes it has Zelda...as much as I love Zelda, I can't be bothered buying a console especially for it. I can't see the game lineup ever being that good either, which is a shame as it will mean that it will just flop again. Fingers crossed they sort it

That explains why it's $300 then? It's expensive everywhere and if you remove VAT we're actually paying less than the US.

This has nothing to do with Brexit.

It's Nintendo being greedy as usual.

I'm pretty disappointed, was cautiously optimistic about the switch but hardware specs, battery life, launch title support are all rather underwhelming...and those peripheral prices. Considering cancelling my pre-order to pick it up later this year.

It's worse as you could get a PS4 with Uncharted 4 for less than the price of the Switch alone and still have enough left for a year of Plus which has free games that you get to keep as long as you subscribe, VS Nintendo renting you a NES or SNES game for a month.

Shock horry getting a 4 year old console with a year old game cost less than a brand new console with a brand new game.

Bit of a difference of opinion going on here. Launch lineups aren't always the best, but this is awful. I think some are letting their nostalgic Nintendo love from previous years cloud their vision.

OoT is by far the best Zelda, but after WW I really appreciated how much better TP was.

Loved pretty much every zelda game...although I didn't play much of Skyward Sword but a friend rates it better than TP. Haven't played the handhelds though.

Have played and completed OOT, MM, WW, TP...loved every second of all of them. WW holds a special place in my heart.

I think WW has by far away the best 'hub' - windfall island. Termina from MM is good but I found that game more interesting from a mechanics perspective than it was actually fun to play. TP had nothing like Termina or windfall island and none of the areas felt particularly rich in terms of things to do. I guess you could say it felt a bit hollow.

WW was very easy and I think how much you enjoy it depends on how up you are for exploring every square on the map and finding all of those 'secrets'. Most of the squares had something unique on them, afaik.

I would say the WiiU would make people massively weary.
The presentation hasnt helped at all.

Sseems the best thing to do, what bugs me most is i know full well if Sony released a new handheld, or similar handheld hybrid system i just know that it wouldn't cost much more and be quite a lot more powerful as well.

Nintendo becoming Apple..

Not for me...yes I am very nostalgic about Nintendo and very excited about the Switch.

Why? Because it fits in with what I am looking for in a console. :) - the line up of upcoming games sounds better all the time.

As hyped as I am/was I gave myself realistic expectations, I was not disappointed.

If it had Xbox Scorpio power, a 15hr battery time on max settings and a 4k screen with 100 games at launch, someone will still find a problem with it :p

Also unless I missed it, specs haven't officially been declared yet have they? Just people making educated guesses off of the odd "leaked" note here and there?
