*** Nintendo Switch ***

so thats at least 12 games im interested in. think thats more than enough for a year haha

Look at your hands as you milk.

Bwahahaha. I'm so disappointed right now. Zelda looks incredible but the system looks average and has been compromised as both a home console and a handheld. The price is too much, the lack of games disappointing. Nintendo will be the only publisher on this and once the first wave of excitement wears off you will be left with yet another Nintendo console which collects dust until the next first party game comes out.

The thing no one seems to care about yet is, how will the switch perform as a tablet and what is the underlying OS?

For me that point could make or break it.

I think if you and me which we both were really looking forward to the Switch felt miffed, it says a lot. Yes, I am still really looking forward to getting my hands on it, but I would have been much more happy had they got pricing and launch line up right without any other change, or even just launch line up.

Yeah, it's the launch line up that annoys me. The price rustles my jimmies a little. I mean £60 for a game? C'mon. £50 for games I already own - looking at you MK8.

But when I think about it, I don't own another console and I do travel a lot. Last year I done about 100+ hours of long distance travelling (flights, busses, trains). So I will get use out of it. That and at least 4 friends are buying it, should make for some awesome co-op/multiplayer.

Also the Wii U is the only console I own that still has local mulitplayer.

This too, if it plays movies etc. I have no need for a tablet anymore, as I only use it for movies when travelling.

People are judging this system as a home console. Wait till Pokemon comes out, this thing will shift so many consoles.

I have not seen one marketing or comment that it is a tablet, apart from having a large screen touch screen. Which is designed as a console not doing your emails on.

Again with the expectation. Where do people pull theses expectations from when it was not mentioned anywhere?

No, but it would be bloody useful if it could do so.

Are the full specs released yet?

Does Amazon let you cancel the pre-order right up to the last minute? I'm waiting on a mate pre-ording, but he won't be back until end of Feb, so would rather be safe than wait.

People don't want a brand new way of playing, surely the WiiU was an example of that.

Make a more powerful console than an Xbox One, PS4 and have all third party plus very high quality Nintendo titles and it's a win.

Nobody wants to stand there waving their arms around in front of a handheld with all their friends. It just doesn't happen.

You could argue it's a solid hand held but again the battery life makes it pointless.

I'm calling a flop once the initial month of hype dies. These will flood the used market within a few months.

But in your argument, the Wii is an example how people want a new way of playing.

The VR train is an entire concept of new way of playing.

People always are looking for the new way of playing.

It's just some people who want to stay on the more ghz must be best train. Not everyone is on that.

Whilst it's fine to have the biggest stick in the playground, sooner or later someone else will come along with a bigger stick. You got to differentiate yourself surely.

People selling their pre orders on eBay already, £450 for just the grey console

Didn't realise Amazon have sold out their allocation.

Ordered two this morning on different accounts, you know I am flipping them for a profit, if not back to Amazon they go :D

Got my preorder in this morning.

Probably gonna sell for on for profit on release day as I've still got my Amazon preorder - the more ive read into all the announcements after this morning the more my interest is all but gone for this.

My kids saw me watching some of Switch video's and seemed really interested, I did kinda promise them one if they sold the Wii U to part fund it, but to be honest I'm tempted to hold out and get them one for christmas amd see how things pan out. The price seem's a bit much considering the tech, the games look rather lacklustre bar Mario and Zelda and I just don't think Nintendo have listened to a word people have said. The online is yet again a total mystery, voice chat via a phone app? Sounds ridiculous, who is going to pay a subscription for that? It's about time they got their head out of their backsides and started listening to what people want.

To me it doesn't look like graphically it's really made much of a leap over the Wii U, MK8 Deluxe seems like they've made tweaks and fixed battle mode (should have been done via DLC!), Splatoon 2 just looks like another tweaked version of the original which is a fantastic game I might add, it's just not giving me the "wow" factor. Don't get me wrong Mario looks like a cracking game but you just look at that release schedule and it looks really poor. Most are ports or games that have been out for months.

The accessories seem pricey, I assume you can't use Wii U gear on it? If so great but I can't see anything mentioned. I can also see third party support dying within the first year. Nintendo really need to get a console that can compete with Sony and MS because they are in serious danger of losing their fan base. When you consider how long they've had to work on another Metroid etc they've totally missed the boat in my view. I have no idea what the developers see in this thing at the moment because I've found the whole experience another Wii U saga. I got burnt once with the Wii U so maybe that's why I'm so disappointed again.

Interesting that the grey one seems to be the bigger hit on amazon, can still preorder the red and blue one, not an option for the grey.

Yep, no more pre-orders from Amazon. WOW.

I just went to order too. Game never let me order from them, don't like my postcode. Anywhere else?
