*** Nintendo Switch ***

I'm amazed people are moaning about the line-up...Zelda is the main launch game, it will be enormous. It's not like it will be completable in a week.

Im not dissapointed either with the launch games, Zelda will be ACE and ive always wanted to play splatoon but skipped the wii u so i cant wait for that to come out later in the year

I think the pricing seems fair but when i see these things i always give myself a personal budget with some requirements so when i saw the switch and was sure i wanted one i told myself i would spend no more than £350 and that had to include a game and the launch prices fit within that so im happy.

Pre ordered from GAME around noon with a copy of Zelda. Typical Nintendo TBH. Online is a mess, barely any games worth playing and still trying to force motion controls

That being said though...

2017 will bring me Zelda,Mario, Fire Emblem and another Square RPG which looked great,Disgea 5, Dragon quest and hopefully Shin megami. Thats already more than the Wii U offered me and If I change my mind before then I can sell it for a profit I would imagine. The fact my baby daughter is due on the 5th of March means the handheld aspect is more appealing to me but we shall see.

People selling their pre orders on eBay already, £450 for just the grey console

Didn't realise Amazon have sold out their allocation.

Ordered two this morning on different accounts, you know I am flipping them for a profit, if not back to Amazon they go :D

What if people who buy on the bay have warranty issue etc?

I just don't get Nintendo i never have, Mario and the like just make me cringe, i guess it's just for basic gamers of this world.

Nostalgia but I game on PC mainly and love Nintendo. Some of the games listed for release are anything but basic as well. Fire emblem and Shin Megami Tensei are a real challenge

I was going to be getting this on pre-order, but I think I'll wait until may (bday!) To nab one, by then should have a better insight into it all, especially the online service.

I find the lack of Mario maker disturbing however.

Who on earth came up with this game...go into a meeting and get it approved and developed it...tested it and no thought...this looks so wrong...must be a Japanese humour thing. I can imagine it'll work on some of their TV game shows.

I really hope the one services will be on par with psn and xbl now that they're going to be charging for it. I was adamant I wasn't going to get one but I've got my preorder in!

I doubt it considering voice chat is through a phone app! Also, Nintendo dont have that many MP games to take advantage of it

Also the Wii U is the only console I own that still has local mulitplayer.
Here is the real usp for me. I seem to be one of the few social gaming adults and Nintendo platforms are the only ones that support me being able to play with my friends in person.

You got to pay for your friends? Not sure that counts :p

Yeah, it's the launch line up that annoys me. The price rustles my jimmies a little. I mean £60 for a game? C'mon. £50 for games I already own - looking at you MK8.

But when I think about it, I don't own another console and I do travel a lot. Last year I done about 100+ hours of long distance travelling (flights, busses, trains). So I will get use out of it. That and at least 4 friends are buying it, should make for some awesome co-op/multiplayer.

Yeah, when I sold my Wii U with MK8, I think it was already known that it would be coming to the NX, but £50!?? I feel milked paying that! I got the one on Wii U for £40 and that came with a steering wheel as I recall. I will just wait until I can get it under £40 which I am sure will be able to somewhere in the summer second hand. Wonder if it will run 1080p native docked on the Switch, as it was 720p on the Wii U.

I also do not have another console and do not plan on getting a Scorpio or PS4 Pro. I doubt I will be using the Switch outside much, usually I am either browsing or listening to a audio book when out. But I will definitely be using it portable in the bedroom and while on the toilet :o:D

After looking at the other games coming out this year, I think I will just keep it. Was thinking of playing Zelda and selling, but changed my mind now :D

I was talking to my partner about the Switch earlier and the topic of this game come up and I pretty much said the same thing :D
