Do you see your birth year everywhere?

Last night I was watching an episode of the Americans and 1983 was shown on screen a few times. Then after that decided to watch an ep of Nikita and there was a gravestone with 1983 inscribed on it. Then to top it off I noticed on the can of Hobgoblin I was drinking it says "est 1983".

It's not just a one off coincidence either, I've noticed it repeatedly in the same night a few times now. Last time it was when I watched two films back to back and both had a flashback scene that was set in 1983.

I'm just wondering whether 1983 is just a very popular year or whether other people notice their birth year a lot as well?
 
Now that you mention it yes. Every now and again I'll be going through documents in my document folder, physical not virtual, and I see my birth year. What a coincidence.

I often think certain numbers are following me around.

Then again I often see words and think what they'd sound like backwards.

Having been born in 1983 I can comfortably say that I have no idea what you are going on about :)

The most typical time I see 1983 is on £1 coins (and that'll be going away soon). Seems that a lot of £1 coins were minted in the 80s and are still in circulation.
