Poll: XenForo

Should the new forum feature a "like" system? (note: this is like only, not dislike)

just ignore it then.

seriously if you dont care about it is a tiny 1-3 digit number that takes up all of a few square mm of space

That's a gash answer. It's not just a small number to ignore. It's the reposts, the memes, the constant crap posting for points and so on. It is way more than just a number to ignore, it actively lowers the quality of the content being posted by people that are searching for the lowest common denominator to win internet points.

You could make that argument about post count, but I get what you're saying.

Am I the only person here who likes the shades of blue default for these forums?

Theme choosers are... Shock horror... A thing. VBB has had one for years but the arrogance and obnoxiousness of the previous OcUK owner meant it was disabled. He thought it was a tool to "weed out the liberals" or something.

I do make that argument about post count - see sig :p

I think it was roughly 50/50 that wanted the blue or black theme when there was a poll a while back, so a choice of the two would be ideal. I find the black theme a lot easier to read. Also if someone uses red text on the blue forum my eyes explode.

As for the like button, I think we should also have a dislike button, but make it so it can't go below 0 likes. That way the slight majority of people that dislike the like button can dislike all posts to bring them to 0 as if it wasn't there :D. Just in GD of course, in the sub forums it can be used as intended to say thanks for people helping them. In fact could it be disabled just in GD?

Where has the matched betting thread gone. I can't find it anywhere. Is it lost in the void?
It does appear to have gone: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18278450

It may just have been deleted but that does seem like an odd choice.

Like this?

The poll should be. Should we move to a crap BB or remain with vBul....

I know which way most would vote.

But, well done for actually asking the user base what they want. :)

Moved out of sight whilst it is cleansed.

It is the choice of the owners what they want and they've chosen XenForo. Not even the mod team has a say, but as a user you can exercise your right to leave?

Double you tee eff! I was all excited about today, and it has been delayed.

When is the new eta?

Not long.

I did laugh at that, touche.

on a more serious note (serious about likes? come on) likes - would affect peoples opinion, that's the current situation, you can say to one person "would you really base your opinion of someone on likes?!" and conciously they would say no. But then you need to put that to people and not just an individual. And as is commonly known, people are stupid.

Men of honour could potentially be based off it :p (not that it's a good thing) but just saying where it could lead to.

Too many people spamming referrals.

This. A few people posted some messages and others turned the greed up to 11, which in turn turned the thread from a great resource of information in to a referral minefield. Started getting a bit desperate tbh. Hope it comes back though :)
