Absolutely dreadful performance from Price. The writing was on the wall for me, when he was announced as 19st plus in the weigh in. He's only once faught at a heavier weight. I'm surprised that Dave Coldwell, was even remotely satisfied with him coming in at that weight !? That must now be the end of his career....

Eubank Jr - He's an incredible talent, Quinlan was better than I expected and has a good chin and engine. I find Jr at times is so eager to look flashy he looks terribly wreckless. It's fine to look flashy in a fight with what many regard as a fringe contender but against someone with power and precision he could get hurt....Will be interesting to see if his fighting style changes or improves with time.....

Selby looked as good as usual, and I enjoyed the Ryder fight too.

I said I had no interest, but I couldn't help but watch it - It was definitely not POV worthy in my opinion .....

Yeah that figures.

I can't see what he's done to warrant a fight with Degale - There are many more options for Degale than taking, what might be classed as a risky fight with someone with an unrecognised world title.

Personally, I'd like to see him fight Murray or Lemieux next....

Eubank has hardly any power and a woefull technique... Would like to see him try those trademark double upercuts against anyone who can box at a world level.... He does look very rugged though and should have plenty of stamina so if he can turn a fight in to a brawl he might have a chance.

Just caught an interview with Quinlan after last nights fight, his face is barely marked up, if anything it looks like he's had some light sparring. This is surprising considering how many clean shots he was eating all night. Many are commending Quinlans 'incredible chin' but Quinlan himself reckons Eubank Jr hasn't got the power to hurt guys like Golovkin and I have to agree. Quinlan says although he was getting hit, he wasn't hurt and he feels the ref shouldn't have stopped the fight.

Yeah, I've seen a similar interview myself....

lm not convinced he has any power to trouble a world class Middle/SuperMiddle, much of the time it is the sheer number of punches Eubank throws that has a telling, energy sapping effect on his opponents.

Definitely want to see him fight someone like Murray next....

How can Eubank have no power? Look at the size of the guy! Do you mean 'relative' power?

I didn't state he had no power.....I said he didn't have the power to trouble any world class MW/SMW.

His best attribute is his high work rate and accuracy. Seemingly, he has a good chin too, but that's yet to be confirmed as he's not really been in with anyone known as being a puncher...

At 168 everyone has power. I'll do a few rounds with people at 168-175 from time to time and you have to slip and parry shots even with 14oz gloves. You get caught and know about it. Get caught clean and the red wee comes out.

To give Eubank some credit, he's certainly got something about him - who knows how good the Australian was but his previous three opponents weren't bums and he was clearly on a different level to them. His problem is that he doesn't have the power to justify his open flamboyant style. His fights, against not great opponents, have gone pretty much the same way - he lands lots of shots but isn't knocking guys out but either the ref or corner end it because of the number of shots he lands. Against better opponents and bigger punchers his openess is going to get him in trouble. Could you imagine him against Callum Smith? It would be the Fielding fight all over again - he'd draw him in and take him out with a big counter.

Callum Smith comes with a set of problems most middleweights dont have to deal with. I think Callum Smith is too big for Eubank at 168.

I was using him as an example. If Eubank wants to be an all guns blazing type of fighter then he's got to start knocking people out. With his style and lack of power, better boxers will pick him apart and bigger punchers will take his head off.

I think you make some good points here

Maybe. When you're in with a big puncher you have to recognise that and feel him out a little. If you think he can drop you or hurt you enough to limit output then you adapt. If you know you have the chin, skill and fitness to deal with it for 36 minutes then look to out point him or take him into deep water and put the pressure on in the last half of the fight to see how that power holds up.

Joe Calzaghe wasn't a huge puncher but he'd beat the crap out of anyone for 12 rounds. Remember the Jeff Lacy fight? The big hitting beast and one punch KO artist.

Eubank does not have anywhere near the technique or defence of Calzaghe though. He will get found out against decent opposition.
