Needs a poll on this I think!
Both things give me a warm happy feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think about it.
Really? Don't understand that at all.
Really? Don't understand that at all.
I'd say Lucky is more the word I would use.
I was lucky to be born here and live in a civilised and free society. If I was born in some war torn hell hole I think I'd want to migrate somewhere.
True. We are very lucky to live here. I might rant about the politicians because I don't agree with them but I love this country and I feel immense pain to think that we will be leaving the EU.
Being a bit of a history buff I just find it amazing what Europe has done for the world. For about 600 years most of the world was controlled by Europe. Furthermore a lot of culture / science and technology originated from Europe. All of these things make me proud of the history of the continent.
Seriously, immense pain?
You're still European regardless of our mere membership of a political union. We're not pushing ourselves into the middle of the Atlantic.
Oh I understand your reasoning. I just don't understand how it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling. I feel grateful, especially when compared to middle eastern areas or 3rd world countries but not warm fuzzies!
Also as a self proclaimed history buff is your warm fuzziness for what gb and Europe has achieved in those 600 years not tempered a bit by some of the atrocities they carried out?
Immense pain. Talk about being a drama queen!
Yes. Immense pain. You might want to read this to get an idea of what I wanted the EU to become.

It is impossible to describe how important an event leaving the EU was. I think you are down playing it somewhat. The decision to leave the EU is going to haunt this country for decades, perhaps even centuries.
Calm yourself, it's not Armageddon.
