i was starting to wonder if i was looking at actual share price or a hype train graphI noticed that as well haha. His presence alone hurts AMD over all![]()

He did sayright from the startafter some waffling preamble it wasn't a Vega launch so not sure why people are disappointed.

And what was the big reveal at the end? To be told Vega will be called RX Vega. That just took the biscuit. He said it wasnt a launch, but that we would get info on the vega. Dont think anybody was expecting it to 'launch' but we were expecting some benchmarks/info re the card and he kind of lead you to believe you would get that at the end.
Fortunately for me the moment he said 'will have to stay until the end' for it i just turned off the stream anyway as no interest in the terribly awkwardly forced sounding jokes/camaraderie.
Am trying not to read into it too much. But it is worryingly as though the VEGA is a flop and they dont want it ruining their current growth :|
It's not going to be a flop but I think it's only going to offer GTX1080 levels of performance and based on how old the 1080 will be by the time it releases it's nothing to get too excited about.
It makes sense that they had to focus the available research and development one way or the other and Ryzen took priority, Now that's done if Ryzen's as good as it seems hopefully research will have the money to make Navi a true player.
So bored of VR this VR that. Why are we being forced to get on board with all this crap. It failed before, it'll fail again because guess what, less than a few percent of people actually want it.
Just give me a fast as *@! $ card that runs everything on my monitor/TV.
They can't release anything as they don't have anything to release. Takes a long time to get something like a new gpu to market. AMD being late to the game is hopefully going to force AMD to low-ball their pricing, forcing Nvidia to do the same.I've nothing against Raja in fact I like his down to earth approach but seriously this event said nothing to AMD customers and Nvidia did. They need to come up with some substance and fast if a 1080Ti really is 1080 + 35% @ $699 available next week.
