Shots fired outside parliament - Please refrain from speculative and antagonistic posts

Commentator on Sky News say the police know who the attacker was (also a suspect has been posted on here a few times by people before being removed by moderator quite understandably).

Vehicle used was registered to the Essex area.
 
Pretty much all the recent attacks in Europe have been people known to the authorities, many already convicted. But they can't watch them all the time unless they keep them all locked up.

Back on topic, both my wife and I work a minute away, and she's just managed to get home. Having worked in parliament and seeing how tight security is I'm surprised the attacker got close enough to kill and officer, but with the chaos caused by the car I guess it gave him the distraction needed...

I wouldn't be saying that out loud and proud. You never know who might take it upon themselves to pick you as an example of what happens to apostates!

It is a pity that you are victimized... you probably get it from both sides for either looking Muslim or for no longer being a Muslim from your old friends, acquaintances and family.
 
Hi guys, I'm sure most people here are capable of traversing social media which is rife with suspect identification, affiliations etc..

As a result I'm sure in the fullness of time the full details will be confirmed, right now as a moderating team all we are doing is to try and stop speculation and the potential antagonism that can follow it.

I would prefer people considered the tragic loss of life rather than the comparatively trivial finger pointing.

Right up to the referendum it was non stop wall to wall Jo Cox coverage and I highly doubt you said anything about that!

A strict points based immigration would have stopped a lot of the crazies.

When I was a child at school growing up in the 90s the bible (and religion in general) was a joke, just something your grandparents might have believed.

Fast forward to today and thanks to mass immigration (and the left wingers) people now fear openly criticising Islam and sharia law, we're moving backwards.
 
All looked a bit relaxed going by some of the videos I am seeing. Hardly the most brutal attack carried out.

Pitty about the victims.
 
Granted this was no Paris level of attack, but anyone find the response to be reassuringly British?

People running to help others, including an MP performing CPR on a police officer.

Armed units there within minutes and neutralizing the attacker, with the area cleared shortly after.

MP's and Lords having a cup of tea in Westminster while waiting to be let out.

Even though something terrible happened/was unfolding, the stiff upper lip still kicks in and everyone just gets on with what needs to be done to sort the problem.
 
Awful abhorrent events.

My thoughts go out to all those affected by this tragedy.

In the end, love will always win against hate.
 
So yesterday we have all the fawning over a dead terrorist - but today , a lot of anger regarding , another dead terrorist?

Some of the photos on sky news app are a bit graphic. Surprised theres no warning with them. A guy looks like his lower leg is bent the wrong way. Horrific images really. :( very saddening.
