Weird Issues {thoughts advice?]

So last few weeks been having this issue with my PC.

Firstly This happens at Stock or Overclocked (CPU) i don't OC my GPU
5930K
1080GTX - newest drivers

So On my Main screen ill be playing a game, lets say Overwatch at a constant 100FPS
On my right screen ill have chrome open
Every so often i alt+tab use chrome etc.

Every so often after 5 mins after alt-tabbing my games Flickers Really quick, almost like your changing resolution in game. then FPS tanks. i'm talking 100FPS to 60FPS it also feels like The Refresh rate changes too as it feels stuttery/jerky

Then i exit the game, Windows UI can be unresponsive for 30-3 Minutes, any actions are saved up and done at once. After this period its fine again... relaunch gaming = perfectly fine

thought it might be memory related, but i only have this issue in games, nothing else.


Any Thoughts?
Already done clean Driver Install
Stock Settings

Have you tried another set of memory?

Maybe a clean windows install?

only played overwatch recently so only on this so far

i think its related to chrome some how.... maybe hw acceleration is not going back to the game

OK, I would try a different browser for now then. Remove chrome completely, use Firefox or something and see if the same problem happens.

If it does I suggest stopping each service that relates to a running application one at a time until you don't get the issue anymore.

If that doesn't work then you are going to have to start swapping out hardware, start with your monitors and then your GPU.

If that doesn't work then you have missed something from the above steps ;). Good luck and btw I'm loving your Man Cave thread :)
