NEW Titan Pascal (full 3840 shaders) just announced!

I don't see it how Titan XP owners are to be honest.. (well im an exception :p but I paid 1080ti money for mine )

but I feel bad for 1080ti owners.. because the 1080 ti owners had the fastest card for only 26 days lol.. I would be pretty salty! lol

this should be a wake up call for us all.. Nvidia doesn't care about your money at all lol

Wonder what internet prices they win having the 'fastest' card. So much so that grown adults would get 'upset' over a company releasing a new product.

Yeah don't forget this full GP102 3840 shader die is only 471mm2.

Both AMD and Nvidia could make things larger than large Vega and the Titan Xp, if they want to.

I hope it is wrong and the drivers/faulty/salty with the monitors coming out now 4K/144hz you need it i got For Honor to run strobing and 1080p and 4K DSR and unless you blur it with TXAA you get a nasty image but 4K DSR @ 120hz is utterly painful my 1080 even breifly at 2101mhz can only pull 60 sometimes when the going gets tough and i already dropped a couple of settings like reflections, motionblur, post process AA is off as well but even if you start stripping it down you still only get at most 90.

Its like £600 to run a game then another one this year someone has to deliver double 1080 performance but not at £1200! And forget 8K 20fps with a 2101mhz 1080 in For honor but gosh it looks immense!

I'm not really sure 8K DSR is worth it, especially on a 1080p monitor.

If you want gorgeous image quality, just get a small-ish 4K monitor and play in 4K. The pixel density on a 28"-32" 4K monitor is extremely high by PC standards, and off the charts by TV standards.

agreeing on that. 28-32 4k is superb for quality. But 32+ if you want the real estate. 55" hdr if you want to drool (TV)

I have done just that and it has been just fine outside of a few freesync bugs. Do i miss the 1070's performance i had before, yes, do i miss nvidia and the **** they kept pulling, no not really. The only thing AMD has been guilty of is being slow and while that by itself can get very annoying and outright anger inducing at times its nothing compared to the shady business practices and anti consumer behavior of nVidia and Intel. Its like some people in here have stockholm syndrome.

Well done. So apart from the bugs its fine?
And the big drop in performance?

So people who actually like performance and products that work are somehow wrong headed in this. Gotcha.

Yes it is "fine" and the bugs has since been fixed. Dont tell me green team isn't struggling with bugs either as i can clearly recall gsync going haywire a few times not to mention other things breaking or not working optimal.

But you are right i clearly HATE performance so much and let me just add /s so you know i did not really mean that. What do you really think? There are 2 kinds of people, those who object when they see something they do not agree with and stick to it and those who conveniently looks the other way when it suits them cause shiny things. How hypercritically would it not have been of me if i go around saying "i strongly dislikes many things nvidia does and one should not support such behavior" but still run nvidia hardware through and through? Now it may not mean that much to you or some of the other users on this forum, and thats fine you can do what you want i guess, but i apply this mentality to everything i do even "silly" hardware choices as i care about it a great deal. Does it make sense now? I value principle > more fps.

It astonishes me how often when someone disagree with you in here they twist your words to a whole new and inappropriate meaning just to suit their own arguments. Never did I say "people who actually like performance and products that work are somehow wrong" but instead pointed out that i had switched and it worked great for me. So how exactly is this "for me" part saying that everyone else has to do the same thing or they are wrong? Your cheeky last comment failed friend.

Before you point out that i wrote "Its like some people in here have stockholm syndrome" i was clearly referencing people who keep buying green and blue just to complain about the next big **** move they pull yet they keep buying their products. There is a clear difference between these people and those who just buy what they want and use it without moaning about every little thing.

Was it not a few weeks ago they had that countdown saying the fastest GeForce or something when the 1080Ti was coming out? It was not the fastest for long was it? :p

Who is upgrading from the 1080Ti? :p

Yes I agree with that 4K at 28/32 is where it`s @. I can not see 8K being worth it for gaming.

It is simply the case that yields are now good enough to have a a fully enabled GP2012 card so there was no reason not to release the TitanXP2. Simiallry, since yields were good it was now possible to release a 1080TI with mass volumes. The release of the Ti generated a lot of sales form people who upgraded form the 1080, 1070 and 980ti etc. I doubt nvidia really cared at al what AMD is up to. , we are still a few months away from vega.

Don't doubt all that mate I just think the timing is a bit chipper considering the 1080ti AIB's have barely launched yet. Even by Nvidia standards they would usually allow for the launch to complete before launching a brand new card.

Re: Firestrike scores, I don't use them as a good barometer anymore as it is too CPU dependant. I would not say the bench tool is irrelevant but I have kinda lost interest in it.

I am interested to see how it measures up in the new Games and new Unigine benchmark.

I think you mean how hypocritical, but thanks for clearing up the rest of how you meant it.

I've not had any bugs with nvidia in the same time frame that I had enough with AMD to cause me to ditch. I realise that my evidence is anecdotal as well as being a sample size of one, but AMD burned their bridges with me in the last few years and it would take some sort of miracle, like their product actually living up to the hype, for me to even vaguely consider it as an option.

yes that is what i mean :). I can understand where you are coming from. I have the same feelings about XFX after being burned hard on 2 gtx 260 black edition and a x58 motherboard all from the same order!!!!!.

man pts. People did this with supercars, top speed wins even if you just go shopping in it. Its gone a bit far now
