Robert Miles - The iconic name behind 'Children' has died

it was the song that on a hot summers day roll down the car window and turn it up full and watch people judge me.

rip

Oh it was you. I remember it everywhere in 96. Still heard it everywhere in 97 in the hot summers.

Followed by Dj Quicksilver.

Sad news to wake up to today, he was a big influence of mine in the 90's and was one of the reasons I started producing my own music. Cancer is such a terrible disease. :(

Damn, he was huge back in the day. I loved his stuff, and Children was a big personal favourite.

:(

Gutted.
I was mad for that track when I first heard it on Platipus Records Volume 2 in 1995. I was (and still am) hugely in to the trance scene.

Best version of it was this one

Agreed, it was on Gatecrasher Red i believe.

I loved one and one too with Maria Naylor too.

I was shocked when i heard this news this morning, he was a big part of my early trance years and probably was the artist that started my Trance obsession.

RIP Robert, your legacy will live on always.

Very sad news, way too young :-(

The dream version was my favourite:

Fable was an epic track also:

Awesome tune, brings back fond memories. Rumour has it the big C has struck again.. RIP

Yeah, his been battling stage 4 metastatic cancer for the last 9 months :(

Heard this on the radio, a very memorable song from my childhood, i still listen to it regularly to this day.
RIP...

It is kind of unreal thinking back to 96 and thinking of that hit Children then realising I was still in school.

Holy crap I cant believe all of that was 1996, there goes the rest of my night watching "REMEMBER" videos...

I loved children and one and one. Some of the first music tracks I was looking forward to playing with my new 6x9 rear parcel shelf speakers when I could drive! RIP

Gutted! I've got Children on vinyl somewhere!

Somewhere? You should know exactly where your vinyl is ;)

No warp on mine though :D

It's so strange when something like this happens and they had one major and a few minor good hits. I can exactly remember what I was doing at the time, with my girlfriend of the moment....I might look her up, she's probably a right fat munter now...
