Recently paid for an iPhone 6S Plus for around £300 via Paypal.

I have buyer protection but I need to prove that the seller only sent me the box and a broken charging cable with it. Royal mail have printed the weight of the item as 0.5kg and I want to use this information as proof - as the 6S Plus weighs 176g and the box weighs around 500g.

Does anyone know the exact weight of the phone with the box and charger and cable inside it?

It would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers

You won't prove it that way. Box with accessories weights about 280g. Close to half a kilo - two pounds plus - for a box, accessories with phone. It wasn't sellers first rodeo.

That's the worst. Surely if weigh the box it will give me the same number as the parcel, effectively providing proof? How has he even managed to increase the weight as there is only the charger and cable, not even headphones.

EDIT: OK. The box weighs 300g. But Royal Mail have printed 500g on the label. Any idea how this has happened as I have even less proof now.

Do you have any other ideas?

You can print your own prepaid and franking labels where you just type the weight plus we now have the new self service kiosks.

Say goodbye to your money then.

I think £300 is the going rate for an iphone 6S box these days. Bonus is you got a free cable!

Never understand people buying phones for their full price. I have always found contracts to be cheaper. You pay monthly for the phone, minutes, texts and internet where if you just buy the phone than you have to pay for a service for it too.

After 12 months, the phone becomes yours and you can upgrade to a new one while you sell the old one.
