BMW 8 Series Concept Details Released

Looks nice enough ish but I suspect the likely cost, given where pricing already is on some key M models, will put this up against competition which are preferable in every way.

well i suppose now that an 850ci manual sets you back about 50K they need a new one. this doesnt have pop up headlights though :(

Fantastic profile complimented by Simple, flowing, classic lines and details, making for a classy and handsome car:

Meanwhile in 2017...

Fantastic profile, ruined by over the top, unnecessarily aggressive and outright ugly details making for another BMW...

I'll just go back under my rock!

Most places seem to be describing this car as gorgeous and svelte etc, but that front end, IMO, is just terrible. Way too aggressive to suit the flowing lines, the grills are far too large with a weird kink, and the profile of the whole front end just sort of falls off the rest of the bonnet. I seriously hope they change the front end considerably before release as I absolutely love the E31.

The rest of it is pretty well done, still fairly slab sided but the detail works well. If it were my imaginary £75k+, I'd take the new Lexus LC, which surprisingly has a much nicer front end.
