**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

Any thoughts on the CSC5 Runflats? I can get two Star fitment tyres for £164 a tyre just to tide me over until the fronts are worn and replace all four with Non-RFTs. Currently running Bridgestone S001 but don't really want to pay £220 a tyre if I don't have to!

Didn't know that so apologies - just based it on my personal experience with premiumcontact5 that are frankly horrible. Be interesting to see if premium contact 6 are available in the size my focus takes (215/55r16).
17" and upwards for the PC6, 16" and below is left with the EcoContact.

Are these any good? : Falken Azenis FK510 for 225 35 19 there at £94 a tyre and it says they are normally £150.

Don't go by the "normally £xxx" because they never were - look around other sites and see what the "normal" price for them is.

They will probably be a reasonable tyre, but you are unlikely to find any unbiased reviews of them (e.g. you will only get people saying how good they are on and how cheap). To put it in perspective though the difference between those and a known top performing tyre (Goodyear F1A3) is only £30/corner more:

(the Goodyears should "normally be £248.50"!!!)

just purchased 2 more pilot sport 4s to replace the fronts on my E92. Had the rears done a couple of months ago with the same.

Should get a few years out of them with only doing about 2.5k miles per year :p

Sounds good :)

How are you getting on with the rears? Noticed any soft sidewall issues? Squirming under hard acceleration etc?

On my E92, the fronts feel the same as the MPSS (which had 4mm left) for feel, loads better in the wet though. Really pleased with them. Soemtimes i think the soft sidewall is really a new tyre effect as you have low tread replaced by full tread.

Rear MPSS will be replaced with the MPS4S soon i think. I'm also going 10mm wider each axle. (255 fr and 275 rear)
