Acronyms you never knew

Committee for the Liberation and Integration of Terrifying Organisms and their Rehabilitation Into Society

Edit: been done already. Too many Red Dawrf fans here at this tech forum.... figures :p

Quick google gave me longest acronym, apparently a Soviet term, NIIOMTPLABOPARMBETZHELBETRABSBOMONIMONKONOTDTEKHSTROMONT. Means, 'The laboratory for shuttering, reinforcement, concrete and ferroconcrete operations for composite-monolithic and monolithic constructions of the Department of the Technology of Building-assembly operations of the Scientific Research Institute of the Organization for building mechanization and technical aid of the Academy of Building and Architecture of the USSR.'

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but to be an acronym it must form a "word"' like RAM or RADAR, if it's not "word" it's simply an initialisation e.g. PCIE or UFO. That is all....

All 3 in the first post are wrong.

News is an actual word
Posh is a guess and has never been substantiated
Chav is a corruption of charver

As this is a computer forum in the main and as we are overclockers in the main:

BIOS > Basic Input Output System.

SNAFU - Situation Normal All ****** Up

FUBAR - ****** Up Beyond All Recognition

Two regular acronyms that seem to have taken residence in my life :D
