Fallout 4 was one of those games I held out on, till it came about in VR. Instantly day one for me.
This weekend Dead Effect has set the mind set, that all fps are now dead to me on the monitor. The VR iron legs have finally been blessed upon me, can't go back!

I think the cascade is now happening, soon HL2... VR is amazing me right now, October can't come soon enough. I've a feeling there will be a few surprises like Dead Effect before then.
 
We just need lots of options for everyone. Make it the vr fps standard.

Can't wait for this, really looking forward to it.

And yeah zenimax therefore Bethesda hate occulus. Lots of good bethsoft games too... They bring them all to vive exclusively and thats a big blow to facebook.

Not sure how or even if they will manage that (not really in valves m.o to lock others out is it, and this one looks pretty normal standard vr, no room scale mechanics)

I hope that we get a load of native ports like this, vr takes off, everyone gets one, and we all win.

Yeah could be, was just going to post about skyrim - watching PS conference now. I wonder how long its timed. A year would suck so badly haha (resident evil is a year, right?)
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the 'default' for Zenimax is PSVR if Sony pay or Vive 'only', obviously the community will work around it...

It'll also be hilarious to see the whinging from some Rift owners :p

Add in that it isn't out until November, add on a year exclusivity, and we could well be playing it on PC with the next generation of HMDs.

I'm glad you said "some". We're not all self entitled whinging gits ;) I do have a PSVR as well though, but I'll not be buying Skyrim for it. I can live with the tracking for the games I use it for, but if I'm going to spend potentially triple digit hours in something like Skyrim, I want precise and comfortable controllers.

PSVR is unfortunately where the big VR gaming money is - any AAA developer dabbling in VR is always going to target that market as a priority to see maximum return on investment. The Vive would bring up the distant rear for PC VR revenue which can really showcase their product. And while I'm sure there will be a workaround for Rift users, the Rift accounts for only a third of PC VR users at the moment, so I don't think ZeniMax or Bethesda are going to lose any sleep by not officially supporting (or even blocking) it.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if the lack of official Rift support is down to ZeniMax/Bethesda actively avoiding acknowledgment of the Rift to strengthen their case against legal appeals from Facebook. As soon as they "support" it, any injunction is off the books.

Sick bucket on standby for this one... :p

Most VR games for me are just a case of how long can you last before feeling sick and getting serious eye strain.
