Xbox Scorpio

You could not build a comparable PC spec wise to this for the same price. Don't forget it's also a UHD Blu-Ray player too.

I think for what it offers the cost is pretty damn good.

Best place to pre order? I've been looking at the specs and with backward compatibility with Xbox one and 360 it's going to be killer.

Xbox Just can't please everyone !

From 2013 Xbox has listened.

DRM... Gone.
Kinect... Gone
Backwards compatible FULLY. Yep.
Smaller console. Yep.
Side positioning. Yep.
Faster OS. Yep.
More power. Yep.
More games. Yep.
4K. Yep.
4K Blu-ray player. Yep.
Reliability. Yep.
Bluetooth. Yep.
Cross platform gaming. Yep.
Over 500 ID games. Yep.

Hay Ho.... I'm happy with a company that actually listens and acts on what the fans want.
E3 is never gonna please everyone but credit where credit is due.

The Beast is coming, roll on 7-11-17

Truthfully it wouldn't be too far off. Rx480, cheap i3/i5 etc.

But yes agreed for what it offers it is great value for money.

£449 is a bit steep, I was hoping they would bundle it with a free game (Forza 7 / Shadow of War). Maybe they'll change their mind like the X1 launch & FIFA.

By lumping the xbox and PC together like MS seem to want to do arent you in effect telling PC gamers to go and buy a PS4 instead as they'll already have access to the Xbox exclusives? i.e. theres no point getting an xbox as chances are your PC will already play those games. Or am i missing something? (For the record i have a PC, PS4 and and Xbone..

Pre-Orders go live tomorrow apparently.. Apparently production has already started so I imagine if that's the case stock levels will be good.

Fingers crossed! Gotta laugh at the people saying it's too much. Man I remember when the ps3 came out. Limited stock, you had to be specially chosen and you had to buy 3 games with it if you were picked. Least this was with gameplay. Ridiculously scarce at the very start. Ended up having to spend something like £600. £450 for a new console and I'd guess it'll come with an elite controller? I'm all over that. Got a ps4 Pro and I've rarely turned it on, find the xbox a much better console.

Out of interest (and I don't know the answer) how many AAA PS4 Pro exclusives are due over the next 6 months?

Niether of those will be out in 6 months, assuming you were talking about post #1308

I was. However saying all this owning both a PS4 and Xbone if i am going to but the next half gen it will probably be the XboneX purely because i have more friends who play on it. I will then have to either play those on PS4 or save some more pocket money for the PS4 Pro. But i still dont have a 4K TV so either way i'd need that aswell!! Its going to be an expensive year or two. :D

The price could be worse but I'd be very tempted to wait until nearer Christmas as there will inevitably be deals/bundles then to compete with the PS4 Pro which you can be be almost certain Sony will have discounted by then.

Day One for me, spec-wise you can't grumble at the price. Can't wait for launch personally! Games like Battlefront 2 will look stunning in 4K.

I'm rebuilding and upgrading my PC into a smaller case for the living room rather than look at Scorpio, tbh.

I did this last year and it's worked out very well. I've got a Corsair Carbide Air 240 case (which is excellent) with an EVGA Micro 2 M/B, i7-5930K (with h100i cooler), M.2 drive (+ 2nd SSD/HD), 32 GB RAM, Titan Xp in SLI (one with EVGA hybrid cooler) and Oculus Rift CV1.

It's a fair beast and fit nice and snug in the TV cabinet.

My xBone is retired to the bedroom for watching the occasional bluray.
