I don't know why this is referred to as a birthday rather than just a procession or celebration. In no way is it anything to do with her birth.
But hey, happy 'birthday' queenie. And I vehemently disagree with the above poster talking about her being a leech, but then this argument happens in every single monarchy thread. Just look at the good she did for the community affected by the tower fire.
That's a small example, but tradition is important.

Your forelock-tugging needs more work - His or Her Royal Highness is a third person reference to a prince or princess.
The King or Queen is correctly referred to as His or Her Majesty.

My 18 month old daught is watching the trooping the colour with me and is shouting whenever the marching orders are being given
