Happy birthday to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

I don't know why this is referred to as a birthday rather than just a procession or celebration. In no way is it anything to do with her birth.

But hey, happy 'birthday' queenie. And I vehemently disagree with the above poster talking about her being a leech, but then this argument happens in every single monarchy thread. Just look at the good she did for the community affected by the tower fire.

That's a small example, but tradition is important.

Yeah she should get a high % of the tourism money, but we shouldnt have to foot the bill for renovating her properties etc.

Your forelock-tugging needs more work - His or Her Royal Highness is a third person reference to a prince or princess.

The King or Queen is correctly referred to as His or Her Majesty.

Happy Birthday, Your Majesty. :)

You are of course quite right and I have corrected the thread title, I was rushing out to work and was a bit bog eyed, sorry `Liz :)

Happy Birthday mam, I for one appreciate you attracting millions of tourists every year to boost our economy :)
