Typical Americans thinking they invented everything. Some American "invented" the sausage roll. And called it... Puff Dogs...

Yeah, he invented something that's been around since the nineteenth century.

well traditionally american hot dogs have certain similarities to frankfurters, so if so i'd wager that the germans can at least lay credit to the idea of inventing that specific version of a sausage roll. albeit likely alongside the british version

origin aside i do know the uk has had this exact form of "puff dog" with the addition of honey mustard for at least 15 years (that's the first time i remember having one), i don't care where they come from but they're freakin awesome!
