Quite funny tbh, I don't support drivers so don't get upset (Ferrari are the team I follow). The race itself had some really amateur driving but it was entertaining.
 
So the precedent has been set. For purpusly driving into another car whilst behind a safety car will only Warrent you a 10 second penalty. How can ANY of the FIA people be serious with that. Then also to slap that on at that time when they stated it would be decided after the race. You can forget racing in F1. They are just going to manufacture this show from now on.

But have we got any evidence he did it in purpose, other than our interpretation from watching the incident?

He was obviously angry to decide to swerve past him to have a go at him and it was his left hand off the wheel whilst gesticulating at Hammy, the car drifted* right and bumped wheels.

*That's the interpretation, whether he just misjudged it or deliberately rammed him. Maybe steering telemetry might show something?

Don't get me wrong, Vettel still deserves a penalty for either, just the severity would be very different.

in no way did it drift right look at the video again, it was a swerve, it wasn't a nudge, it wasn't a drift.
But more than that its the fia response that was the real shocker. investigate after race, oh wait ham has problems, look we can pick an outcome that places them next to each otehr on track and gone from being after race to declaring it the same lap.
 
As a formula one race (bearing in mind I've been watching since around 1967) I'd give it 1/10.

For comedy value deffo 8/10.

F1 racing used to be so good back in the (long) day.

lol, look at teh video again and now watch this interview of his. essentially saying it should be allowed as he did it to me.

Yet... No one drove into anyone else behind the safety car behind you...

I'm calling Bovine produced growth product.
 
I think Vettel lost a lot of respect in this race, I wouldnt be surprised to hear a fair bit of booing next time hes on the podium.
