The problem with leaving windows open in warm weather...

Little bit of snow and we grind to a halt, little bit of rain and our houses all flood, too much wind and all the trains stop and bridges close, too much sun and our roads start melting. Basically unless it's grey and boring (like most British people) we just can't handle it. Pathetic
most of those are hardly pathetic, if we get just a couple of days a year then it's not worth spending the money on resources that just sit around doing nothing, especially applies to snow.

pass them this way they help out, it's the buzzing of flies that are annoying.

I tell spiders in my house the house rules - they can live in my house as long as they don't move while I can see them :)

I'm OK with most spiders but when they go scurrying around it bothers me. But less than flies. Flies are filthy things. Spiders are relatively clean.

If you eat snack bars you'll probably eat a few spiders worth of bits over time. Spiders sometimes get caught in the machinery and mashed into the bars or they're caught up in harvesting. There are rules regarding how many insect parts are allowed per Kg of food product and it's more than a few. You probably didn't want to know that :)

The real question is do they include the insect parts in the protein section of the nutritional information?

gotta watch those macros!

I have one that lives under the bath, he stands outside the hole at night and keeps watch. I guess it eats other bugs so he's welcome to stay.

We don't seem to get house spiders very often, but instead we get false widows. Big fat bitey ones.

I usually just chuck spiders out the window, but these nasty sods aren't so lucky. I've found them in our 1 year old's room and knowing that they can give a rather nasty bite, I'd rather not give them a chance to return!

Got a few of those biguns in the garage, they only really come out at night so leave them to it. In the house is a no though, had an amazing shot with an Argos catalogue once. Big fast ******* kept teasing me by running across the floor and managed to hit it with the Argos book from 5ft away :o

The really whispy tiny bodied ones are more annoying though as they leave webs everywhere.

got these from home bargains ,not exactly spider proof (need modding at bottom) but definitely help and keeps flys out ,£4 a time and obviously can be used on windows as well (black bits are magnets they snap back together)
btw my plants are in a paddling pool ,very hot last week!

^^ I always thought this would be a problem with bi-folding doors which I'd love to have to open the living room in to the garden. I've heard of birds flying in to peoples houses never mind incy wincy spiders!

never had a bird fly in but the doors are awesome my main garden is beyond the car going down the hill but ive done the house one in artificial grass so my mut can wander in and out without trailing mud in ,going off subject i know

Found 3 house spiders this weekend!

1 by my jeans as I was putting them on, he went out the window.
1 by my fridge, he got sucked up in the vacuum.
And 1 on my bath towel and he too got sucked up by my vacuum.

Hopefully the 2 don't mate in there and breed little spiders seeking revenge on me...
