*** Nintendo Switch ***

Right lads, My switch has a good inch of dust gathering on it after completing zelda, gimmie three good reasons not to sell it to my mate.

Skyrim if you have not already played it lots elsewhere
Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Both should be excellent Zelda substitutes

Metroid Prime - because.

Bomberman if you have mates around a lot

I mainly bought the Switch for fun with friends, but games like Zelda and the above offer me many hours for all the times my friends are not around

If you like crazy Japanese games and RPG's or Fire Emblem then Disgea 5 complete edition is a great game to fill time between AAA titles coming out. There's literally 1000's of hours to be put into it

New mario coming at mid end of year.

There will be a new smash bro at some point. Probably a mario kart 9 too.

And Obviously all the announced stuff.

I can't see what a Mario Kart 9 would provide?

Expect a new Donkey Kong, hopefully not a wii U rehash.

Probably a roster of new characters. I wouldn't be surprised if mario kart started going down the same route as smash bro in regards to character roster. Perhaps new race modes. And battle modes. Courses. Etc.

Most of which could be added as DLC, I can't see the need for a graphic or engine upgrade.

I see them just rereleasing the Wii U smash bros as a deluxe version with a few extra characters from switch games like Arms etc.

Given Smash Bros has quite a strong competitive scene and demographic, I don't think we'll see this. If they were just adding a few stages/characters I think they'd have to release them as DLC for the WiiU version also, to avoid a big backlash, but then many wouldn't bother with the Switch version anyway.

At the very least I think a deluxe version would have to have some new modes and mechanical changes made, but at that point they might as well go all out for a sequel using the same engine with some visual upgrades (like they did with Splatoon2).

Would absolutely adore an Animal Crossing on Switch.

Currently playing MK8 Deluxe every lunch time with a colleague and a few cups every night. Love this console.

Bought a Switch from Argos last night, pick it up Monday. Surprised I got one as it was OOS everywhere yesterday morning when I checked and it is again today. Will pick up Mario Kart 8 and Zelda also.

How is a single joy con for MK8 multiplayer? I don't fancy spending £60-80 for a pro controller/second set of joycons to play with my brother but if needs must...

They work surprisingly well tbh. With the little strap attachment thingys they are a nice size for all hand sizes. Even without the wee strap attachment thingy they are satisfactory.

I've found it OK to play with the little mini controllers.
Is no other manufacturer making controllers yet for them? £80 is a hell of a lot of money for the odd occasion when we've got extra friends round for a 4 player game.
