SNES Mini Classic

Only want one for Star Fox 2, still got all those other games on real cartridges :D

I've got a good few, but I doubt they'll look as crisp and nice as on the mini via hdmi. And especially compared to the virtual console. The nes mini games look a whole lot nicer than the vc versions!

Yeah that's pretty much my thought process as well. I've got most of the games I want on my SNES already but I love the idea of a compact hdmi output device to sit alongside the collection :)

I saw the trailers and general hype on social media so checked preorders on Amazon to see they weren't up yet so left it. The next day comes and they're all gone lol. I signed up for stock alerts with Nintendo and managed to bag one straight away luckily.

I had a preorder on the NES mini but cancelled it due to the cord length. I think I'll keep this one as there are far more games I have a history with on SNES.

I was lucky to get one on Nintendo UK. In Portugal atm but happened to check twitter just as Nintendo released the pre order link

yes probably, sorry. If i get all 5 i would be shocked as one place i ordered 3 so will probably get a kick back, to be fair i would like to leave one boxed up for a few years see what it does.

Closest thing i have to a pension

Pre-ordered one from Game, but might end up cancelling it.
I already own more than one SNES and got most of the games but never play them. It might just end up a dusty paperweight :o

I’ll hold off until the stock situation levels out. I want the US one (always preferred the shape and colour scheme)

I agree, the US SNES has that bold rugged look about it. The European SNES / Super Famicom styling is toy-like.
I have a mint US boxed console I bought several years ago, more for collection purposes than anything. Won't be buying any mini classic, no point.

Tbh if I buy one... I’d keep it boxed and mint. As I think these will be worth a lot one day. And besides. I have a pi3. And this mini SNES is missing the best game of that gen.. u.n squadron / area 88 ;)

I don't really think they'll be worth a lot in the future. It just can't compare with the original console, and anyone really young enough won't know anything about the original to make this mini version an unforgettable classic in a few decades time. I see these mini versions of consoles as nostalgic memory reminders that could sit on the table of a games room as a showpiece, but not really useful or necessary.

Production stops end of 2017, it's a limited run and at a price of less than 2 PS4 games, I cannot see these being widely available, ever, not with Christmas just round the corner too.

Damn... forgot to check updates on these, kicking myself a little as I was planning to get one - I had a Megadrive as a kid and the kids down the road had a SNES, so while I've got some fond memories of playing super mario kart at their house I never actually owned one myself.

Am hoping Argos releases their allocation for pre-order soon and maybe I'll still have a chance to bag one.
