9yr old kid bullied, dad puts out a twitter message and gets an epic response in return

Maybe if his Dad could took him to do Jiu Jitsu or Boxing/Kick boxing instead of going on Twitter his kid wouldn't be bullied in the first place

I saw that story last night. Some of the replies are great and really good to see some folks responding.

as a parent i fear my kids being picked on and hope it never ever does.
great response for the little lad.

I am inept at using twitter but all the replies make this seem very impressive. Some incredible responses, likely 90% of them he wont appreciate or know till he is older!

He'll probably be bullied more now.

Good job Dad.
Interesting logic, how did you reach that conclusion?

This has obviously drawn a lot of attention to a problem. Wherever the kid goes to school the teachers would now be on high alert to eradicate any bulling, not just this child.

But all of that falls by the wayside to the fact that this bully was obviously having a psychological impact on this child's life. Now that the kid has these confidence boosting messages he'll probably not give so much credence to the bully's words and once bullies lose their power over someone they tend to lost interest.

So a kid is winding up another kid by saying his birthday will be rubbish..... and this is bullying? really?

I fear for this kid now, as when he gets older, he will face far worse than "your birthday will suck, mine will always be better" and at that point, he won't have 10's of 1000's comforting social media hugs to get him through it. He will expect all the stars of the world to weigh in and defend his delicate little demeanour and that won't happen.
