so ive got a selection of some pretty decent airtools (little old but high quality and well serviced) i was gifted from friend.

whats a reasonable air compressor/tank to get. not for any major work but enough that im not having to sit around waiting for the tank to fill all day.

and decent price

Good shout - haven't heard about them - but they are on my radar now! I'm sort of contemplating getting a commando outlet installed in the garage and getting a better spec example. A large part of me wants a compressor that will do any air task without issue (blasting, spraying etc.)

Get the biggest you can afford - I am in the throws of upgrading my compressor to power my new Log splitter - I can't afford to upgrade my 25ltr one so am rigging up a new tank from a propane tank - The hassle I have had with leaks and things is unbelievable -= I am almost there but in hindsight a new bigger compressor would have been the way to go - one thing I have learn't is use red thread locker for fittings rather than PTFE tape.

Been a right head banging week so far.

Loctite 55, far better than ptfe.

"Decent price" is rather subjective, but i'm looking at this:

Pretty much the best spec you can get on a 13A plug without running a dedicated feed.
You be far better off buying an air compressor that is 9bar/130psi or 10bar/145psi

As an 8bar/116psi will run out of air pressure very quickly when using air tools..

Think your getting pressure confused with capacity. CFM is the most important figure and deciding factor in what tools you can use, a larger tank can allow some tools to be used but only for a short time.

Use it off a 13amp plug and provides plenty of air, anything more powerful and I'd need to get a dedicated power line put in.
I been using this one for about 4 years off a normal 13amp plug socket

But it not powerful enough to keep up with the air supply needed by some my air impact wrenches
This is one the impact wrenches I use that it can keep up with https://www.amazon.co.uk/Draper-484...0382732&sr=8-41&keywords=draper+impact+wrench

Without a high enough pressure an air compressor can be useless to some people..

We have one these at my work place and it useless for most jobs we need it for because the pressure only goes up to 105psi (7.2bar)

Is this better than the sip tn3/10 srb model?
