Any recommendations on power banks?

I've been going on a lot of long walks recently and with GPS on to track my progress my One Plus 3 will only last 4-5 hours with pretty much no other use of it so I need a power bank to keep it charged up.

I've taken a brief look, and a 5000mAh one should be plenty, but I'd rather not have one hanging off my phone all the time, are there any good ones that are designed like a case that I can put my phone in? Obviously needs to have a usb c connector though.

Anker have been great for me but not sure they something like you are looking for.

You can get small packs that have a solar panel (and in some cases a powerbank) built in with a pocket for a powerbank and electronics device.

EDIT: Oh you can get extended battery cases which have a built in 2500-5500mah battery but can't see one by any brands I recognise/could reccomend.

Depends on the phone model that you have, as some lack battery cases. If a battery case is not available, then I would recommend the Anker Powercore 5000, it has quick charging built in which is a bonus.

As have been said, I'd go for anything Anker that'll fit the bill..

Buy cheap, buy twice and all that (The poundstore ones are naff, for example)

Have a ravpower 20k one
It's bigger than my phone but out in Rome for 5 days its been essential! My s7edge dies in half a day when I'm constantly taking pics. So I have my phone in one pocket, bank in the other and a cable between!

Love mine as it's QC 3(quick charge) in and out! If you have a QC phone, get a QC charger!
It's also got a 2.4A 5v normal port for other stuff.

Girlfriends phone, 3DS XL, reading light and camera battery can all be charged from it.

the only power bank I have used is a free one I got from pot noodle, it claimed to have enough capacity 2 charges.

It actually gave me about 60% of one full charge on my phone when I tried it. But it was a freebie.

I've got my iPhone in a Morphie extended battery case, its awesome, brings wireless charging to the iPhone and magnetised desk/car mounts. I think they also do battery cases for some Android phones.

Oh, and if you are needing it to power

phone+ screen + GPS + 3G

You might well need quick charge. I've used my phone as a satnav and non QC charging might not even increase the charge.

Just as a general powerbank recommendation, I bought a RavPower 10,400 one about 2 years ago. It's probably gone through about 30 charge cycles and is still going strong. No complaints at all.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone :)

Anker. Just have it plugged in. Little ones built into cases won't be particularly large capacity.

I've done walks with one and either have the cable running to my phone (you can unplug to go wire free temporarily now and then), or I just leave both together in the top pocket of my rucksack.

The ones built into cases are about the same capacity as the phone battery which would be fine really, I'd like to avoid having to have it connected all the time via a wire if possible. I'm frequently taking it out my pocket to check my route, message people or change music.

My phone has dash charge but I don't think any power banks support that yet. But even on a normal charger it does charge up with everything running thankfully.

All well and good everyone saying Anker, and I agree, but I don't think they make a One Plus 3 phone case with battery.

They do this: https://www.anker.com/products/A1250011 which is a slim lined external battery which is designed to contour with your phone but is still an external pack.
The only one I can find for the One Plus 3 is the ZeroLemon: https://www.zerolemon.com/2017/05/17/oneplus-33t-7500-mah-extended-battery-case-deal-news/
I can't find it available in the UK though. It is $60 on Amazon.com

Wow, thanks those two products are exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.
