I just hope that Fiji gets HBCC, but I don't think that that will happen, even though it would probably be one of the cards that would benefit of it the most...

The 'HBCC' is a piece of hardware, like a memory controller on a CPU. So it's impossible for Fiji to get it I'm afraid.

The hbcc on paper at least just sounds like an automatic version of what they were doing with drivers with fiji. Be interesting to see how it plays out with it in actual hardware this time.

Frustrating really, assuming this can be rectified with drivers?

In the vid he says it wont be modified by drivers unless also reducing performance. 700w TDP to operate without throttle is dramatic news at least. Cant say Vega doesnt make headlines, its the perfect storm :D

I agree its not all certain to be true, the dude in that vid does appear genuine in his expertise but anyone can be mistaken. I'd rather see it confirmed by at least someone else and/or in tests of Rx not just Frontier and extrapolation

Hun hun interesting. One thing for sure AMD do seem confidant, in all cases this has been the most interesting launch of anything in a long time imo, I'm not usually captivated by launches, even when in a buying position, I just wait&see, but this one has got me interested and I don't even want to upgrade.

AMD Radeon RX VEGA is going on a tour

It sounds like there's a couple of sneak peeks before Siggraph,
But why Budapest?

Vega XTX: water-cooled Radeon RX Vega (375W TDP)
Vega XT: air-cooled Radeon RX Vega (285W TDP)
Vega XL: cut-down Radeon RX Vega (285W TDP)

Water cooled version for me. Always since water cooling my R9 290 it is really the only way to go AIO Corsair HG10 if anyone wondering

I'd rather cool it myself to be honest don't like corsair stuff .. a nice full water block is always the best way ..

I'd like to go with the water-cooled model. I've yet to try a water-cooled gpu, I've only ever had one cpu AIO which was a Corsair H100, The pump on that died so I moved back to air cooling.

Probably the cheapest place to hold it in Europe while keeping a standard.
Could be, Or maybe they're just using a show other's are doing and tagging along.

AMD do something like that with Hawaii. They booked a room next door to where an Nvidia event was taking place and then invited the gathering press to come around for tea, biscuits & a sneak peak at the 290x giving the Titan a run for it's money. :D

Hopefully the only physical difference is the cooler and the TDP won't be a hard limit imposed on the XT.

If Sapphire do something similar to the Fury Tri-x and it has the same chip & performance as the water-cooled version I may go with that.
The one thing I don't want this time around is the cut down version.

Same here, Of course price will matter, If I think it's too much I may hold out until Nvidia respond, I recently got a 6gb 1060 so I don't need to rush. I hope it is well priced though.
Yep, price will definitely matter. It needs to be very competitive as they are very late to the game and less efficient. Otherwise will hang on as I got a 7970 recently and that plays everything I am currently interested in playing anyway. Replaying a new Deus Ex mod called GMDX which runs nice and smooth maxed out at 4K :p

My other games I just play 1080p on my Plasma TV, so happy to wait for Volta if AMD over price :D
