So just what are we expecting to be the minimum PSU for Vega? surely in single card config a 750bronze PSU would suffice?
Hard to say, you cannot use the FE as reference, Rx is supposed to have other features that saves power consumption like rasterization.
Si Best is to wait for Rx reviews

It's disingenuous of AMD if they are doing that. People have been buying the FE with higher gaming expectations than 1070 / 1080 performance. AMD certainly haven't made it clear about what to expect.
For example at the launch event - Sniper Elite 4, 4K, 60 FPS, Settings Unknown

But they did keep telling people to wait for RX Vega if you want a gaming card. Nothing disingenuous about that. Lets be honest here...would you go out and spend a grand on a card that was meant to be for workstation loads and use it for gaming, I certainly wouldnt (Forget the fact that I would never spend £1000 on a GFX card anyway). :D

Right now I am struggling to see the value of all the development costs for AMD when they might have got the same/better result with an updated Fury X sporting more memory.

That is what Vega is essentially, it just seems like the hardware for the new features is not active yet due to drivers.

All those who are saying they'd be happy to pay £400 for Vega, may have to factor in the cost of a new PSU on top of that as well.

:D:D:D

If you undervolt a pair of Titan Xp cards you will get 3X the performance and the same power consumption.

That's quite something. Looks like I need to get a pair of Titan Xp's then. :D

Playing devil's advocate here, surely people who are interested in flagship Vega couldn't care less about power requirements? If you're going to drop £500~ on a GPU, it seems unlikely you have a low-mid range PSU.

So once the drivers run all the new features the power consumption will go up.

@Mauller, wait for the reviews and see what the situation is then. At the moment it is all theoretical and impossible to have a viewpoint on.

Power draw generally doesn't really mean much but if you aren't hitting top end performance its another sticking point.

power usage will go down and performance will go up if tiled rasterisation really is not used at the moment.

Doubt many are going to throw over 2 grand into the wind for a pair of those considering sli support is ropey at best, and has been for quite some time now.

I'm one of those weird people because I want a Fury X sized watercooled card for an ITX build, which limits me to a 600W SFX PSU.
