Can't wait to see the benchmarks.
Agreed, will be grabbing the popcorn

To be honest i think people will be surprised. It will show better than what we have seen so fare unless AMD somehow f up the driver. No im not saying it will catch up to the 1080ti(cause it wont) but it will show better than it does with todays Frontier edition benchmark. Also the power draw will not be 2x of the 1080. That said the OC capabilities will be limited i think past the Aqua editions top boost speeds as they always are with AMD. But it all doesn't matter anyway cause they could have built it to brew coffee and people would still complain that it can't go to the shopping mall for milk(who the .. drinks milk in their coffee anywayAgreed, will be grabbing the popcorn![]()
Lol classic Ngreedia. Thx god we have Amd or we could be paying for driver supportJust when things could not get any worse for the Vega launch.....

The fastest gaming card available just got better !!!!
Shame I have not got any professional work for mine to do.![]()
Well, one saving grace is that Nvidia improving it's products in response to Vega benefits consumers.Just when things could not get any worse for the Vega launch.....
im really in a predicament. not sure whether to wait for vega, or just jump and grab a 1080, due to the price id be looking at the OC value FE version. Would anybody have any doubts about the value cards?

it might be ok with a decent cooolingI think the Vega 56 might be OKish, especially since the TDP is much lower and the Vega 64 water cooled edition has 30% more FLOPs for a 64% TDP increase. Looking at the $399 RRP,that would equate to around £365 with VAT added.
yep it was the same with the 7970 and 290, initial disappointment but after the dust settled people sat back and said actually there not bad after allI doubt any Titan owners were considering swapping to Vega and i also doubt any potential Vega customers would be considering a Titan so while this is a nice perk i doubt it will put even the mildest dent in Vega sales.
Personally i'm still looking forward to the official reviews, and as with most Amd releases they launch with too much hype, things settle down and end result is a pretty good product, just look at the 290/x, out lived all the competition.
Hopefully I am wrong about vega and it pushes nvidia prices down to sane levels as a 1070 really should be about £250.
Miners and Brexit for the most part. Nvidia also slapped $50 on the price of Pascal compared to Maxwell. If truth be told not an awful lot considering they had no competition. You have miners and brexit to thank for that.
If we didn't have such issues the 1070 would have been closer to £300 at launch.

Why is a 1000w psu recommended for a 345w TDP video card? Surely a good 800w would run it fine?

Crashing? Yep![]()
interesting perspective - GTX1080 Ti and Vega FE at same clocks..

RX Vega should be better than that - bottomline, vega is a better architecture, AMD should switch to TSMC for large chips![]()
