Very nice looks like sapphire black to me as carbon is more grey/blue. Enjoy it in good health!
Nice, I'm debating one of these in convertible form (coz I'm gay)

Picked it up yesterday, pretty happy with it but sad to see the XJ go. Its a 15 plate with 13.7k on the clock. Just to check before I badger the dealer, do BMWs come with a service book to show service history or is it on online at the dealers these days?
Looks lovely. Glad you got sorted. Any particular comments now that you've had a few days to get used to it? How does it compare to the XJ?
Are you finding it more laggy than the XJ? I thought the 640d felt to have a lot more lag, but I'd had a few years driving an XFR between my XFS and the 640d, so I could just be remembering it wrong. The GC has 38bhp more than the XJ but it isn't really a large enough increase to notice that much difference.
Thanks. Not really that comparable, the XJ is more a limo type car and more comparable to the 7 series. The XJ floats over everything whereas the GC has sportier handling (not saying it has sporty handling). The GC has 38bhp more than the XJ but it isn't really a large enough increase to notice that much difference. Both engines are pretty smooth for diesels, I wouldn't say one was any smoother than the other but the GC looks to be far more frugal than the XJ. Although both of the cars are pretty much the same size XJ is 5.1m and the GC is 5m, the GC feels smaller than it really is, probably down to the coupe body.
The HK system isnt as good as the B&W system in the XJ but the iDrive is leagues ahead in terms of usability. I will miss the XJ, it had a load more kit in it and it felt a bit more special to waft along in but the GC is a fantastic car and I will love my time with it.

Maybe I'm remembering it wrong then, although I did test drive a 535d when I still had my XFS and came away from that thinking the XFS felt a lot more responsive too. Oh well, sounds like you're happy with itNo, not at all.
