Definitely. If you check the RTG's voting web site, the request for 50% performance increase is voted higher than even the "cure cancer" feature.

After all, what is a measly 50% increase? According to that youtube post mentioned earlier, Vega is capable of double its current performance!

:D

In all seriousness though: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/amd-vega-board-partner-announcements,news-56349.html
  • Sapphire only selling reference models
  • XFX has a banner ad from AMD
  • PowerColor has nothing
Not looking good.

Proving what who ever wrote the article at tomshardware, except they had no clue for Powercolor already having Vega chips, they just crap.

And ofc all the AIBs going to have reference designs on release date. Takes time to prepare new cards.... Took 3 months to have AIB GTX1080s after their launch, while took EVGA 5 months

I'm gonna get a couple of 56's just to eBay the ****ers!! They'll be like hen's teeth :D :p ;)

Actually tempted to do the same. Could be worth a good few quid.
Please don't :p If everybody does this nobody is going to get these cards at a reasonable price. It's incredibly unfair to those who for one reason or another aren't able to sit at their PCs pressing F5 all day on the 14th :p

That's assuming they aren't gouged to all hell by the retailers anyhow.

AMD RX Vega x2 Allegedly In The Works By Asus, To Be Liquid Cooled

http://wccftech.com/amd-vega-64-x2/

Gonna be a bit pointless, not an amd design so going to be one of those ridiculously tall pcb's, plus they're going to have to do a hell of a lot of speed reduction on the core to make it even feasible. A 120mm rad would be overwhelmed with 2 of the full fat vega cores at aio speeds. I don't see it happening.

Check the date of the article. Things are changing hourly let alone daily.

Not across the board. Some were available within 3-4 weeks of the launch. Others were delayed - for example the highly clocked Asus and as you say EVGA.

This Yuutube channel is fast becoming my favorite tech channel.

Yeah same here. His unboxing video, all mobo review also and in general good quality work. Even bought 2 t-shirts because I like the big blue logo.

He doesn't do half ...... job like others.
Talking about jokers, anyone watches the PCMagazine unboxing review which is the worst of them all, should read the comments at youtube. Truly epic.

I would like to crossfire this
so is a x2 design already crossfire or it would always work out twice the power in games. Seems like Navi is all about that ideal

seeems interesting, Primitive Discarding in Vega: Mike Mantor Interview...

Intelligent rendering in a scene I think was first mentioned not long after the first Geforce cards. Would be great if its going to made of great use now, I need a video on that video to tell me exactly what the video just said :o

'burst above exceeding 1.7ghz'

It does seem likely many limits to gpu fps could be unnecessary barriers. Partly from legacy and compatibility I guess

7700k 4.2ghz with Triple Fury is 830w draw rough maximum apparently for reference
