Sarah Champion resigns after saying UK has problem with British Pakistani men raping white girls

We only have a problem with gangs of men grooming vulnerable white girls from one demographic. Don't be an apologist.
Change "gangs" to "pedophile rings" and I don't think that's necessarily true. Not sure about the scale so don't quote me on that ;)

But where it becomes a PC problem is where investigations are dropped if the perps are ethnic and/or religious minorities.

We all congratulate the police when a bunch of old white dudes are imprisoned for molesting kids. But when it's a bunch of asian guys, you can see the mental trauma in some...

"Am I supposed to be happy? On the one hand they were pedophiles. On the other hand they're an ethnic and religious minority. What do I do? I can't be too happy or I'm racist. What should I think? What are my friends saying about this? Maybe it's a mistake and they'll be found innocent. Obviously it's not all asians! Asians are great! I have asian friends, lots of them! I'm not racist. Please don't say I'm racist. This shouldn't have been on TV, it's too confusing! Asians AND muslims AND pedophiles? Why couldn't they have been old, white dudes???!"

Ah, the Islamification of Europe boogeyman.. The reason why some people scream racism when it is brought up is quite simple really. It won't happen, it's a made up doomsdays scenario with no valid arguments behind it. When there's no solid reasoning behind an argument, there must be something else. Hence the racism scream, although in your case I'd say it's plain old ignorance.

http://www.pewforum.org/2011/01/27/future-of-the-global-muslim-population-regional-europe/

As you can see, the Muslim population is projected to reach 8% in Europe by 2030 and the annual growth is expected to decrease steadily. The analysis was done using 2010 numbers and if you check recent numbers in Britain, Germany or other major countries, you will find that the projections were correct.

Next, consider the decreasing fertility rates for Muslims and the lack of convertions to Islam and the only rational conclusion is that this Islamification is a myth, nothing more.

http://www.prb.org/Publications/Articles/2008/muslimsineurope.aspx

You're a joke.

And frankly, looking at how France has turned out with a similar 8% (which you are projecting) I don't understand why anyone would want this.
By 2030 it's not going to be 8% either, I rather suspect the figures are underreported as they are..

Ow no the Muslims! omg! run for the hills their taking over my freedom i can't believe anyone falls for this crap. Look at Christianity has that taken over? You think Islam will? Not a chance europe is become less and less religious. . .

So is this what it's come to, a person can can be forced to quit their job for merely telling the the truth?

Yep, turns out they can.

Usually when there's a large outrage and a politician or someone forced to resign, is because they told/spoke the truth.

People hate that type of thing.

It's not really a bogeyman at all, there is legitimate concerns about fertility rates amongst certain demographics, the birthrate for muslims is not 1.8 as suggested in that one graph, it's been updated, can't remember where i saw, but i'm pretty sure it's been updated. i'll try and find it.

article here about the landscape in the future. If only 10% are radical, what does that mean for people of the UK?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/rel...-children-in-Britain-doubles-in-a-decade.html

Are you worried about the radicalisation of recently born/unborn children or are you worried about the "Islamisation of Europe"? Or are you suggestion that those imaginary radical 10% out of 8%(aprox. percentage of Muslims in the future) will take over while the rest of the 99% of the population enjoy their tea? Can you make up your mind so we can discuss it properly?

Here is the updated graph. 2017 data.

http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...e-the-worlds-fastest-growing-religious-group/

As you can see, the fertility rate has actually increased, by quite a margin as well, if it were to continue, it could 2.5 in 2025.

The fertility rate has not increased, it's right on track with projections. It was 2.2 in 2005-2010, it's 2.1 now (as you point out yourself) and it will decrease to 2.0 by 2025-2030 (keep in mind the topic is Europe).

France is a great country, maybe you should visit it or other countries and widen your horizon a bit huh? Also, kudos for the "experts are wrong because my gut says otherwise" comment, would you apply the same reasoning to, say, bridge building?

We have a problem with men raping girls in the UK full stop. Doesn't matter where they are from.

do you think this way about everything in your life?

ie one big problem or do you break things down into smaller segments so you can work out the best place to target your resources?

if 7% of the population are accounting for more than 50% of the arrests for a type of crime it kinda makes sense to target that small % first.

much like with blood donation cut out gay/bi men and thier recent partners and you reduce your donors by about 3% but reduce the risk of blood being newly infected by 50%.

it's not a homophobic policy its targeting the biggest problem first.

but in the UK he is entirely correct its currently 3.0 and predicted to be 2.5 in 2030

keep in mind the topic is "the uk has a problem with...."

Well considering I work for a police force, I dont go believing whatever the media says when I see it in my actual job. Im not saying there isnt a problem, people need to choose their words more carefully when the media gets involved.

Visited France which has some of the loveliest people in the world, stunning sceneries and fantastic foods. I've also been in the more "diverse" areas including other countries and cities like Berlin and feel pretty confident sticking by my previous point....

Going to go for one dose of taqiyya here boss. Unless you are not a Muslim ak22? Which I doubt.

History has shown repeatedly that when the Islamic population has reached a certain size (or just plain invades) that it becomes more intolerant. One could argue its already disproportionatly influencing our world when it isn't even 10% and politicians kiss up to it for votes, media treads around sensitively etc..

We as a people are happy to swallow the lies politicians spout every day but the moment one tells the truth we call for blood...

Sad times.

Seems like the right choice to make given her position, party and current social climate.
Also, the men recently were from Iraqi, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, Iranian and Turkish communities yet singled out Pakistan in one fell swoop. It's more that it was bad journalism really, I'm sure she didn't mean it as malicious as she wrote, or rather I hope she didn't.

We all know that there are despicable people out there regardless of the ethnicity, creed, colour, religion, background or wealth. It's human nature. Let's just tackle these with some maturity and decorum case by case.

I have had friends who were sexually assaulted by Pakistani men. One in particular who was dragged into a car full of them when she was walking down the street. I have also had a number of young, female Pakistani friends whose lives have been made miserable by their fathers. Sarah Champion has said what is actually what many of us have seen locally. Attempts to elide the problem such as yours, honestly, offend me. It's attitudes such as yours that made it so difficult in the Rotherham case. People locally tried to get attention but were dismissed as racists. And we still are. YOU are part of the problem and unless you have lived in places such as Bradford or Luton, shouldn't assume you know best.

Sarah Champion is a very intelligent and forthright politician. I've seen her in interview and she is very capable. I'm very sorry to see her go.

You say that like white sexual assaults and domestic abuse doesn't occur or isn't a problem.

Yes there are Asian men that rape women, just like there are white/black men who do the same.

The problem isn't Asian. It is Pakistani. Why try to broaden it to a meaningless category that embraces two-thirds of the world? Nobody is worried about Chinese having a culture of rape. Or Indians. Or Japanese. We're explicitly talking about one specific community - Pakistani.

In the UK predominately its a South East Asian problem....mainly Pakistani based.

Come to India though and you realize that its the same over here with some Indian guys. There are places in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan where you just dont go as a single female.

There is a problem with SEA men grooming, abusing and ultimately raping girls.

No, I say it like it isn't rampant as in Pakistani culture in a way it isn't in native British culture. I see you live in Hertfordshire. Big Pakistani dominated communities there? How many Pakistani friends do you have? Three? Four? Less. Actually, please answer that - how many actual Pakistani friends have you had that you'd actually hang out with as individuals? I could reel off at least a dozen. I have LIVED in areas with heavy Pakistani presence. And my experience and those of several friends accords with what Sarah Champion says.

Honestly, you sound a lot like those people who used to tell me I shouldn't be a '"feminist" because everyone deserved equal rights, as a way of deflecting from addressing problems specific to women. Same reasoning - you don't want a particular target attacked so you argue no target can be attacked unless all are attacked equally. One imagines at the D-Day landings you'd have had the Allied forces strung out in a line across the entire French coast. I have no problem with you trying to do something about rape by non-Pakistani men. I have every problem with you trying to stop people dealing with the problem of rape by Pakistani men by pulling some what-aboutery **** and insisting because you'd like it to be true that there isn't a large and particular problem in Pakistani communities.
