Yes, someones got to be unlucky.

Doesn't mean I'm going to live with my head on a swivel all of a sudden. I've been walking around London normally for decades, I'm not suddenly going to start bricking it 24/7 about terrorism when im vastly more likely to die in a routine traffic incident.

Nobody can criticize how others reacted to this. It's easy to thump your chest and say what you would do but when you have panic and fear mixed with the flight or fight then how can you be so sure?
Easy to sit safely behind your PC and nitpick isn't it.
 
The attacker apparently posted an antisemitic video days ago claiming there is a global Jewish conspiracy. Exactly the same antisemitic global Jewish conspiracy claim was made in the ISIS thread the other day on this forum.

When views like this are tolerated in the west as normal or a 'religious thing' more extremists & Jihadi wannabes are emboldened.

Also did send troops in for the Iraq invasion, but only really as a token of solidarity with the USA. It made no practical difference. I believe they were withdrawn early on as well. If you recall the 2004 Madrid train bombing, that took place just before the Spanish elections and the pro-USA incumbents - who probably would have won were it not for the bombing - were replaced by the socialist party. The bombing probably changed Spain's position on Iraq.

To be honest I found out I'm completely useless for the first 30 seconds, then incredibly energetic after that. (Found out last week when the apprentice tried to remove his thumb).

People react differently, not everyone can provide first aid but they can comfort.
 
From what I recall, the Spanish held protests (& marches?) against sending any Spaniards there.
I guess the attackers don't give a Rats arse, as long as they kill someone, anyone... :mad:

Daesh types aren't really operating on sound rational principles. They are at war with any non-Muslims. Hell, most of the time they're at war with any Muslims that aren't Muslimy enough for them, too. They're a group founded on hate and the concept of everyone outside them being an enemy.
 
Anyone asking about troop deployment in relation to justification for ISIS attacks is looking in the wrong place. ISIS want a global Islamic world they are against any other way of life. The justification is simply that you are not a living out their version of Islamic life.

It's about time Islam was called out in the same way as Scientology. It is definitely not to be taken seriously.
