Game suggestions for GF

Hi everyone,

Looking for some game suggestions for the GF.

She asked me if I had anything along the lines of Crash Bandicoot, which I do not.

I don't even play those sort of games so I'm looking for some suggestions.

some things of note:
it HAS to be easy - I can't stress this enough, she has a habit of giving up if things are too difficult the first few times of trying

Controls have to be simple and preferably played on a controller.

Not sure how easy it is but Yooka-Laylee, it's a bit more like Banjo-Kazooie than Crash.

The couple of platformers that sprung to mind for me were SteamWorld Dig and Thomas was Alone. Both pretty easy but also very enjoyable.

Sounds like she doesn't really like gaming - no point trying to force a habbit she is not really that into.

Maybe just look into getting an old copy of crash for her if that is what she is hankering for - or if she owns an old copy, emulate it legally.

Two which might appeal are The Last Tinker City of Colors and Castle of Illusion. Both are pretty gentle experiences.

Would Limbo be too challenging, or would she get distraught whenever the boy gets killed?

I was about to suggest this, too.
I recently did the same to my own and it started easy enough that she thought it was dumbed down.... but by the time it started to get proper challenging, she was already getting hooked on the story and that drove her on to play more... for several hours, in fact. She just cannot leave the puzzle unsolved... but then she cannot log off without a quick look at what the next one holds... and then there's one quick go at solving it... and so on.

If it not necessary a platformer she is looking for then Portal/Portal 2 is a great shout.

Psychonauts is a good game but I seem to remember some really uneven difficulty spikes...certainly I remember one of two occasions of getting furious with the game. Something about the Meat Circus comes to mind?

Be good if you can get her I to some co-op gameplay. It's a shame Borderlands doesn't split screen on PC

Ive tried this and ended up with a GTX1080 PC sitting alongside mine and it hasnt been turned on in a month

Life is Strange keeps her interest a bit.

Trouble is my GF doesnt like sitting at a screen. Shes much happier on sofa watching me play Zelda or something.
