@Mr Gimp go!

I'm in I got notification through :) really looking forward to it! It comes out 2 days after I start my new job but I will be having few long nights on it regardless :D

Shows that you have joined when I log in :)

I have now linked my Bnet profile to my main Bungie account so I should be in the clan on both platforms.

The trophy list have been leaked. Are ready to finish the raid on prestige difficulty? :D

Yup :)

Barring the trailers I have gone radio silence on the "leaks" as I want to experience it as fresh as possible.

You on for the PC beta? I tried adding you on Bnet but the "add friend" box was greyed out. I assume I didn't have the right ID?!

Same. Not watched any of the EDZ stuff as I want to experience it fresh for the first time when I play. I went into destiny 1 blind a few days after release to join friends who had purchased it on release. I had no idea what the game was about, just that I should get it because it was good. Hopefully going to capture a tiny bit of that magic I felt all those years ago. It won't last for long as you start to know the area and the sense of exploration goes. Treasure it while you can.

No not on for the beta, be getting my PC end of September - mid October so ready for the PC release.

I haven't watched or read anything either, My mate told me about the Prestige Difficulty.

As soon as custom banners are available there will be an OcUK one up don't worry! The current designs are a bit rubbish so I've left it as default for the moment being.

I'll sort out adding additional admin over the next few days

Cool, will add you later once I have rebuilt my PC.

Funnily enough I have gone for what we talked about:

R5 1600 / 16GB DDR4* / X370 / 1070**

*Make sure you get good 3200Mhz stuff. Ryzen loves fast RAM
**Already had it.

:)

Also debating PC vs PS4 but I can't see the player base remaining high in a year's time on PC

If GTAV and BF1 are anything to go by, the numbers will be high, D2 is on battle.net which will help loads.
Ever since Battlefront 1's completely disappearing PC player numbers everyone has been sucked into the myth that PC games don't keep their players and it's baffling. The platform most likely to lose the most players is the Xbone and this has historically been the case for virtually every major release.

I'd get it on PS4 to start with, as you'll have a months head start on PC, not to mention PC players are going to struggle to avoid raid spoilers.

6 months or so down the line when you've given up on the game and the first DLC comes out on both platforms (Winter 2017 according to activision so maybe more like 4 months), i'd maybe considering going PC then. DLC will bring back the playerbase (look at what heists did to GTA V online for example) and on the plus side it will probably be cheaper. The switch to PC will make it double fun as you get all the graphical upgrades etc..

That would be my plan
