Guy jailed for writing kill all muslims

It says two thirds of his followers agreed with his post. To be honest this is why I agree with Trump restricting immigration from terrorist affected Muslim countries, for every terrorist that sneaks into the country and kills people you get idiots like this who become radicalised against them. It's going to create more and more division and those wanting to live happily and peacefully will suffer the most.

Chris Wilson will be gutted that you beat him to slipping some blatant celebration of bigotry into this thread. Bonus points for praising Trump as well - there aren't many people left that can do that and keep their dinner down.

Should being drunk be a mitigating circumstance? I don't follow your logic here.

Absolutely. When I stole a car and crashed it into a bus stop whilst being chased by the police, they let me off because I had been out on the lash all day*.

I caught 10 minutes of a documentary tonight about trolling and thought about starting a thread on here. When did troll become synonymous with online abuse. I started using the internet in the mid to late nineties when it was kind of taking off for private use. Back then trolls were jokers who hung around message boards taking the mick. A good troll (and they were rare) was a great asset to an online community. Give us our bloody word back!

Trolling ain't what it used to be - a good troll could kick things off with a carefully crafted nudge and then sit back watch the carnage without even having to participate further.

Not a big fan of it - was some clever trolling but usually its just plain nasty bullying and nothing more or less.

Not wanting terrorists in your country is bigoted now? You lefty sjw loons really are going too far now.

Again I miss the good old days when the latter example wouldn't really be considered a troll as much as a dick.

so why have non of our Islamic friends been jailed for thier placards over the years?

You seen some of the videos on Youtube of Islamic people at Hyde Park on Sunday mornings? If the law was equal to all, the coppers would have a field day there. Unfortunately the Islamic population are a minority which makes them exempt from many laws like this. Can't be seen to be "victimising" someone based on their religion, can we? Very unproper sir.

The clueless press hijacked the meaning. They think it means someone who is just abusive.

A troll IS a joker, but these days if you troll properly people take you seriously lol. It's so easy to get people going. The internet has totally changed in the last 15 years. It used to be only for "geeks" and people of intellect, now it's full of morons.

You have the freedom to say what you want, where you want and how you want. But we also have laws and It doesn't mean there won't be consequences to your actions.

This guy broke the law, is a criminal and justice has been served as such.

Move along, nothing to see here.

I would be fine with that so long as the equally barbaric bible is banned too.

The Bible was updated and most of the bad stuff was removed almost 2000 years ago. The Quran is still in it's original form which was based on the old testiment. If you have ever read it, it's soooo open to interpretation. It's easy to see how someone could do something horrific and then find something in it that excuses them, according to their own interpretation and current state of mind.

Not that I'm actually religious myself or anything...

Jail for a Facebook post - whatever next. The world's gone mad.

Why is this mad? It doesn't matter whether it's a tweet, facebook post or a in a blog. Do you think just because you typed it out is different to physically speaking/shouting the words in public? Where has this notion that typing your mind on the internet (via social media of all places) should give you free pass come from? "I don't get officer, I didn't use my mouth, I used my fingers, it doesn't count."

Do people really think that it's okay to tell people they should kill other people? That there is madness.

This is something I always say. It used to be much more fun, if painfully slow.

Obviously there has always been a dark side but I preferred the net population before they let everyone and their dog/cat on to it.

The amount of storage being used to host absolutely moronic content must be staggering. :p
