There was an advert on the radio this morning for the Volvo V40 R-Design Nav Plus and it got me thinking about cars with bonkers, long names.

So OcUK, what's the longest model designation you can find?

I will start it off with:
Land Rover Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic Lux
Bentley Continental Flying Spur W12 Mulliner

Can't find it off the top of my head, might have been one of the older cars, but the full designation of one of the models of the Alfa Romeo (Giulia?) Quadrifoglio is quite a mouthful.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce Roadster
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Tommi Makkinen Special Edition

I guess technically it would be the;

Jaguar Land Rover, Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic Lux, as JLR are the company manufacturing them.

And my offering to the thread,

The Subaru Impreza WRX STI RA Spec-C,

or expanding he acronyms;

Subaru Impreza World Rally eXperimental Subaru Technica International Record Attempt SPECial Competition (or SPECification C, depedning upon your view.)

Normally the product name is "Brand" not "Company", otherwise it would actually be Jaguar Landrover Automotive plc.....

The Mercedes-AMG A45 4MATIC Yellow Night Edition. A rocket of a hatchback with an RRP of £47,145, and yellow-trimmed 'aero' bits stuck everywhere.

edit: Beaten to it like a.. I shouldn't have looked up the price. :p

I beat you anyway, I picked the CLA Shooting Brake one with 6 more syllabus, and a £48,385 price tag :p.

Not the longest, but probably the most stupid sounding:
Audi Sportback Sport

Just WTF were they thinking? Talking about trying to appeal to one dimensional beings/thinkers. No wonder every other driver cutting us up and driving like a **** is in an Audi.

There's a slightly shorter more recent one too.

Subaru impreza WRX STI Type RA NBR

Where the nbr is nurburgring

I would go for another Subaru Impreza incarnation

Subaru Impreza STI Version 6 Type RA V Limited

I think pre Spec C, RA stood for Race Altered.

How about the Ford Ecosport (which is a fiesta in heels, about as far from "sport" as can be) powered by a Ford Ecoboost engine.

The mind boggles.
