FIFA 18

Played a couple of hours on EA Access. Feels OK although definitely had some rage moments on one of the online games I played; hit the post something like 7 times, he won 3-2 somehow just dribbling through with no effort. EURGH.

Nah, I get the frustration and the more you play the more comes out. Will be a tough game to master this one. I do hope the goal keepers are patched and defenders giving a little pace boost of some sort. The attackers runs and pace makes them unstoppable even when reading the play.

I admittedly jumped the gun, first few games I played were div 10 and opponents were trash so I had freedom for fun, any kind of competetive play though and the sweatiness brings the worst out of this game as always. I didn't mind in 17 as I'd finish top 100 regularly and winning felt rewarding, wasn't getting that from winning games on early access.
 
I feel a bit silly having bought 2000 points on the wekeend when i aleady have the £90 version downloaded ready to go. Oh well, I got Banega and Nzonzi so far, decent start. Do the points translate into coins or only for buying packs? Can’t remember from last year.

just buying packs

sold off my investments on the web app, think every mid tier player will drop so cashed in whilst profit is sky high. Sat on 35k atm not too shabby.

Question. I have my mates account on my PS4 and he is going to buy the ICON Edition. Will I be able to download it to my PS4 and play it early on my account?
 
Haven't played against AI properly for years so is there anyone here who does well against ultimate or legendary AI willing to share a few tips for squad battles, I imagine strategies will come eventually but that will just mean the score will increase to finish higher anyway by then.

agree, you're just rewarded for playing a through ball to a striker on the run regardless of position, you're pretty much guaranteed to be running through on goal.
 
Having to wait until Friday isn't fun, can't believe I'm not on EA Access/Pre-Playing anymore, I'll spend to the time trying to turn the £120 in my Bet365 account into £200 for 12k FP I guess! :o
 
Bit annoying that EA access/early access is becoming the norm now and charging a fair whack on top of the normal game to get access to it. This has nothing to do with me ordering the standard edition :D

Couldn't see the value in the Ronaldo/Icon editions for what is little content that I don't care much for. This year will be another 'road to glory' affair for me, starting off with nothing and not buying any packs. Will be solely relying on WL and squad battle rewards, maybe some SBCs.
