I don't know about that, but what really irks me is this new trend of people putting the pound sign after the value, i.e. 100£. It's as bad as the other retarded new trend where people put a space before any punctuation mark.

Sounds like it’s changing between US and GB key maps.
American and UK layout.
Too slow!
The 100£ could well be because they’re European . Some countries do that .
As for the space before the punctuation mark , people have been doing that for years . They’re just weird, along with those that insist on two spaces after a fullstop !![]()

wondered how long it would've took for that to appear lol.Alt+0163.

(US keyboard user, that alt-combo is in my muscle memory xD)

. Two spaces after a full stop is probably just a sign of age. I learned to type (I never mastered full touch type though) as a kid on mechanical then electronic typewriters, just before the Vic20 and Speccy 48k corrupted my youth. That was the correct way to type. I know it is not necessary now with modern print fonts but old habits die hard.Does your French keyboard also insert an unnecessary space before punctuation? With a french keyboard it was easier to type it . Back on a qwerty now , so have a pound on me m8 1£ .

What about those weirdos that put the £ sign after the figure?
