The silly little things that we do

a hang over from having poor hearing, but have now had surgery to correct...I still say sorry/pardon a lot even though I probably heard the conversation. I annoy myself.

My uncle unplugs things and turns the switches off. It is a waste of time.

I sometimes get worried something is on fire, a whiff of smoke or something and I sometimes have to check everything is ok.
I had a fire in my house a few years ago. was nearly really bad.

I cant put socks out on the line unless they are pairs...there i said it..I knew I could..If they dont pair up within 3 washes they get tossed in the bin...:)

Another phone walker here. Just can't sit still at all, have to be moving constantly. Drives my housemate insane. Dunno why I do it.

If I have a bunch of change on the bar, I have to stack it all up neatly in piles of the same denomination. A mate of mine loves demolishing the little piles to wind me up. :(

I always check my pockets a horrendous amount of times when i'm out.

Even if i have my headphones plugged into my phone listening to music, i'll still check my pocket to make sure my phone is still there.

Then i do a little slap dance to check all the pockets to make sure everything is still there.

There is a stretch of road about 15 minutes away where we can see our house in the distance - something I discovered by chance one day while in the car years ago as a kid. To this day, every time we drive past, I HAVE to say "(in a childish voice no less...) "I can see our house from here" because i have made it a good luck habit that should I forget to do it one day, something bad will happen.

One time I actually did forget and only remembered when I was nearly home - I turned back and did a 20-30 minute round trip to get to say it. :D
