Xbox One X

I just had my first ever eye test and tbh the before and after was like going from non HD to HD for the first time. Maybe I will see more benefits once I get my glasses and can see properly...... lol

If you play Battlefield 1 on the PS4 Pro and then play it on the Xbox One you'll notice a massive difference.

I don’t see much tbh it’s a bit smoother on Pro I think. I think once it’s all moving it’s hard to tell. If you stand still it might be a bit more noticeable but I die lots doing that... lol..... I find live works better than psn for me though and the controller is much more comfortable on Xbox for me..

But isn’t it exactly the same as the pro? If anything the X is a much bigger upgrade.

I had more reasons to justify and look forward to going from the PS4 to Pro i.e. PSVR which is nicer on the pro and more exclusives like Wipeout, Horizon and uncharted to name a few which all benefited from being on the Pro. All I have in the immediate future that will benefit from being on One X is Forza 7 which i could play on the my One S or i7 + 1070 equipped gaming PC.

I learned a new trick today (thanks GAF) - if you go to My Games & Apps, highlight a game and press and hold LB+RB and press the VIEW button, you get a popup with a few technical details about the game. Most importantly it will tell you what Assets are installed. Xbox-Durango = basic Xbox One and Xbox-Scorpio = X1X enhancements.

That Currys deal is good.

However, I bought one from Very as a 'new customer'

10% off electronics purchases for new customers (£45) plus £25 cashback from Quidco, as long as they honour it.

I already have Halo 5, and the other two games don't really interest me

is a Freesync monitor worth it for xbox x? Trying to find the best 32" monitor I can (well, without spending £1k on the ud99) and they are all a bit hit and miss.

Nope, don't see how it can make a difference if you can't change vsync on the console.

I think I would wait until the One X is out first if you're waiting on freesync working out of the box. If it doesn't work properly you'll have wasted good money on a freesync monitor when you could have bought a cheaper tv instead

I've cancelled my pre-order, but I'm guessing for unrelated reasons.

Mine was just because I recently got back in to PC gaming, and rarely touch my consoles now. So for the odd console exclusive I must play, I'm happy to play it on a standard Xbox One. I've wasted too much money on console games and gadgets (like PSVR) lately that just don't get touched due to me gaming on my PC 99% of the time
