Me too, it just stuck out when I saw it. Focus won't affect the colour.

Yes - looks like they're using a crummy phone camera and have picked / the phone has picked the iphone 8 to focus on and balance the settings for the image - as the x is brighter, the image makes it look washed out.
If they'd focused on the X, then the 8 would look dull and dreary...
If that's wrong, it'll be going back

Lets not constantly go on about iOS vs Android, please make another thread if you want to have that discussion. All that will happen is that is one will get locked. Yes it's expensive, we know and it has been discussed at length for the last number of months.

Really that old chestnut? Funny how most tech experts now agree there's almost nothing to separate both OS's. I run both and I certainly wouldn't make this type of tribal claim.
It's personal preference, just because both are good doesn't mean someone can't prefer one over the other.
Anyway, as suggested, if you want to debate the merits of both (trust me, it's pointless), make a thread for it.
Absolutely, you're right it is about preferences and nothing else. That's why I can never understand these juvenile posts deriding one or the other OS's. I don't claim my iPhone 7 is better than any other phone and same for my S7. They are both great phones.
Regarding the X I just don't think any phone is worth that much money.

Nobody is forcing you to buy it? Don't have to crap up threads for people that do think it's worth that much money and plan to buy it.

I run both too... I swap once in a while too... ever since the HTC desire I have hated running Android and always go back to iOS. Last time I tried solo Android was the S6 Edge.
Now I have iPhone 7 Plus and some HTC thing I care so little about I don’t even remember the model number. The android device is free to me, the contract is free to use... and yet I use the iPhone and contract I pay for so often, work call me on that instead of the work phone.
I can’t stand the poor accuracy of the touch screen, takes twice as long to type anything - Android touch algorithm hasn’t improved in many years and is still worse than the original iPhone.
It’s as if they don’t realise quite how poor it is.

No, it’s objective assessment - iOS is the better put together phone OS, every little thing just works better... it’s thought out more along the lines of how a human operates.
Maybe one day Android will catch up... I said that years ago and I’ll be sure to try one again in a few years... maybe after the X.
My iPhone X order has been showing ‘Preparing for dispatch’ since yesterday, I pre-ordered first thing and I have a scheduled delivery date of 3/11/17. I hope that doesn’t mean preparing for dispatch from China as I would be impressed if that arrives by Friday!

Those phones would already be in UK.
Also, I once had item picked up in HK delivered in UK in 30 hours. So it's no doubt technically possible.

Mine's been showing as preparing for dispatch since Friday, but I don't expect it to change till dispatched till Thursday. The payment has cleared on my card now and it states November 3rd delivery so I should be all good for release delivery.
