When I tried to buy apple care myself for ipad I couldn't go through.I had to do it through chat. It was still quick
 
Couldn't buy Apple Care + via the Apple Store, but I've just managed to do it using the website on my Mac. It sent an email to my phone to run some diagnostics and then it all went through. May regret buying it but I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
 
Has anyone got experience of buying a phone outright but wanting to switch to the UIP. My phone is the last batch for delivery so have plenty of time to get a reservation. But want to know if my phone gets delivered if I can go to store and get the refund on the amount, and join the UIP?

What is UIP? Do you mean the upgrade program?

I ordered mine for collection on the 3rd, and at the Apple store I switched from full prepayment (I paid in full when I placed the preorder) to the payments plan. They first made me sign for the phone that I’d paid for. Then I signed again for the full refund. Then I went through the very simple credit application and signed for the third time and got my phone.
 
Did anyone do a trade up with a 128GB iPhone 7? If so, what did Apple offer you?

The calculator won't work for me, and my model number doesn't seem to exist. The first google search result is when I posted it in a thread on here earlier in the year :confused:
 
not sure about apple, but CW gave me yesterday £350 for the same model, which I think is decent price and easy to process, just drop at the store, no envelopes, posting etc.

Apple was always lower than others when I checked some time ago.
 
tempted to grab one from the Apple Store (if available) and give it a few days to see if i can justify the price. If not take it back. Currently rocking an iPhone 6S+ 128Gb which is fine, but idk, the X looks nice.
 
For me, justifying the price was not a problem. £1k on something that I use for several hours every day seems like better value than something like a graphics card that I only use a few hours per week.
I could do fine with a lower model but I really like phones. I don’t splash out on many things but a new phone each year is my treat.

Same for me I was just saying :)

For me it saves me from buying a new phone and a tablet. Something I was considering as I didn't find the plus form factor suitable.

Same here. My brother smirked and shook his head, even though he gets 2 or 3 takeaways a week and smokes :p

Don't get me started on that. The Mrs complained about the iPhone X and its price until I pointed out that she literally sets fire to £200 per month.

It's not perfect, I treat my phone every six months with it, it does give the screen some protection.
 
As anyone notice the screen is a bit warmer in colour. I know it more likely the proper colour it just strange when on my iPad Air 2 then go to the x you can see different tone
