Nice to see Halo 3 is enhanced

Although not sure if the master chief collection version is covered.

Halo 3 MCC is separate code. It is native x86 rather than PowerPC so it will be getting patched differently when the whole MCC gets revisited for X1X later.

So is it worth buying halo 3 on disk? I go past a CEX on the way home and it's only for quid.

For a quid yes. But otherwise probably better waiting for the MCC to be updated to 4K next year, IIRC.

I have the old xbox one. Any point in upgrading to the Xbox one X if I don't have a 4K TV?

I'm not. Money going towards 4K TV first. You'll get some benefit from owning the X1X with a 1080p TV but not the entire experience (4K+HDR).

Mcc only £10, that includes Halo 1,2,3 and 4 you can buy ost extra cost.

All 60fps I think

I've got halo 3 360 on disc. Downloading as we speak. Will see what difference there is to the mcc I already have on system

MCC worth it for the remastered HALO2 alone, it's beautiful.

I's never played Halo 2 before. I absolutely loved it when I played it on the MCC. Wish they were all as good. Might be sacrilege but Combat Evolved hasn't aged very well. 2 though holds up really well.

I always thought they went downhill after Combat Evolved with each one getting progressively worse.

I daresay I'll pick them up again to try when they get to 4K.

Try playing it now. I quite liked 3 and Reach. I never finished 4, never played ODST and barely touched 5. I have them all still so I may go back one day.

OK after downloading halo 3... If it's enhanced is the download part of it? Or are updates separate?

I think people are too busy downloading the patches/updates and playing them.

If you're playing on X1X then it should be included. Got a 4K TV to see the difference?

Also, has anyone tried The Evil Within 1 on X1X yet? That had a janky frame rate. Now cured?

Sod it, was hoping for people to tell me I was crazy but I caved and ordered it a few minutes ago. Should be here between 4 and 6 today

I almost forgot that I can flog my Xbox One S on for a bit to recoup some of the cost so that's not all that bad.
