Can the egotistical humans now stop

To be fair AFAIK that only covers the melting of a part of Antarctica - though funnily enough it is one (of several) of the areas that images of receding ice have been used in connection with climate change.

Heat bloom under Antarctica you say?

The warming is occurring everywhere. If it were coming from under the earth you'd need all the magma and warmth to be moving out from the centre of the earth, which doesn't make sense in terms of either mavity or thermodynamics.

So what do you think is the real reason the Antarctic is melting.
A: the huge super volcano under the ice sheet
B: humans

So when will the rip off taxes imposed on us stop?

Do you really believe that like Highlander "there can be only one". It's a curious worldview where everything is binary, it's either a this or a that but never could the truth lie somewhere between the extremes.

I don't think there's any reason to assume that both humans and the natural environment can't have an impact on the climate. You can possibly argue about the level of impact that humans have but that they are having an impact is pretty well undeniable based on the evidence. In light of that why shouldn't we try to minimise the impacts that humans have as far as we reasonably can - I am making the presumption that we quite like the climate the way it is and the longer we can preserve that the better.
