Xbox One X

So wouldn't sign in again, hard reset, now I've got an error that says I have to delete my game saves? I seem to have lost them all. Something wrong here surely?

Internal, nothing connected, clean out of the box, one downloaded game and three on disc.

I suggest sending it back really. The amount of problems you are having isn't normal.

I've not had one single issue with my Scorpio edition.

Saying that I do have Xbox One number 3

I had 3 360s and 2 original Xbox consoles due to various issues so I'm due some luck!

Probs get slaughtered here but never had a problem with Sony hardware from the PS1 to the Pro

I played the first mission of Halo 5 earlier.

Does this not have HDR? I read an interview with the devs that suggested it did, but the game didn't automatically start HDR on my LG B6

They couldn't HDR Halo 5 due to the mad and wonderful colours, the colour balancing etc. from the game. Apparently HDR'ing it would fudge it up.

Fair enough, it looked good though.

I completed it in February this year, and with the enhancements, it is so much better.

I've yet to play it. I downloaded it cheap (£5) earlier in the year. Got the Masterchief collection to work my way through before I get to 5.

Whathifi said its a good 4k player :o

I guess Whathifi did get it wrong as MS have now admitted that the HDR video on the X is broken and working on a fix which is a few days away.

For me I could see in my brief test that it was not as good as my Blu Ray player but I didn't expect it to be.

What I didn't consider what it also affects other things, for instance I have been unable to use the X for Netflix as the picture is just not good enough, very washed out compared to the PS4 or even the built in TV app. I'm also now wondering if it also has an impact on games as the cutscenes (and loading screen at times) in Battlefront 2 are very washed out and look terrible at times.

Looks like a fantastic machine, fair play to Microsoft and I'm really wanting to buy one but I'm not convinced that I need it. First party games do not interest me at all (although Halo 6 would) so i'd be looking at games I already own on PS4. Any owners of both consoles here kindly give their opinion? Give me a reason to buy one :)

Really there is never a need for a shiney new games console lol. As you have said, PS4 has the best exclusives so far this gen and it would be silly to re-buy games you own on PS4 on the Xbox. Whats Xbox got lined up in terms of exclusives? Forza 7 (Its awesome) and PUGB? I bought ours primarily as a 4K blu ray player.

Ah yes, forgot about PUBG, haven't played it even on PC... Is it a console seller then? Shiny new console indeed! I do want one but I know I should really have a much better reason to do so than just that :)

Console seller I'm not sure. It could be but its not as big (To your average Joe) as GOW, Forza, Halo in terms of "blockbuster appeal". There's no doubt it'll be amazing but not decided if it'll make people go out and buy an Xbox for.

Regardless, the X really is an impressive bit of kit. If you want to run the biggest cross platformers at their best then the X is going to be the best place to do it every time.
