*** Nintendo Switch ***

Anyone else struggle to hold it in handheld? Trying to play Zelda and I have issues holding it up and slipping sometime. Feels quite heavy.

Really enjoying Skyrim!

I use my switch 95% of the time portable. It blows my mind how much detail and the quality of it that they have managed to get in!

I am really tempted with Xenoblade 2 as well, but with physical copies kinda hard to come by over here I have to download them.....time to purchase a micro SD card.

Are you able to move games from your switch to a microSD or do you have to delete and redownload?

Also, can you swap around the SD cards? So can you fill multiple ones with a certain amount of games and change as you please?

No I think you have to delete (or "Archive") and redownload games to get them moved to SD card currently.

Yes you can use multiple SD cards and change between them to play different downloaded games. Just make sure to completely power off the console before changing cards.

With Black Friday hitting up the UK this week, anyone seen any good deals on micro SD cards or a decent Powerbank? They are the two items I am trying to keep an eye out for (well, a Kettle and a toaster too but I doubt anyone here cares about that!! :) )

So from the rumours, Nintendo US and UK have stated that the Switch will not be part of Black Friday deals but lets see what happens.

As for SD cards and power banks, Anker always seem to go in the sale so I was looking at the Anker PowerCore 26800, already have the SD card but I got this one in the last lot of sales on another site, SanDisk Ultra 200 GB MicroSDXC UHS-I, my Switch seems happy with it, load speeds are fine :)

That wouldn't be a surprise as it's a massive success. Why drop the price if it's not needed and you are already struggling with demand.

For digital purchases I always use the South African store for 25-30% savings over the UK store.

Folks... on Zelda.... is there anywhere in the story that takes you to the master sword or can you get it pretty much whenever you want (once you get 13 hearts?)

Is there anywhere in the game that says "you must have 13 hearts in order to release the sword"?

I was curious and just goggled about this and thought... damned I'm spending most of the game without the master sword because I assumed the game would "guide you to it" eventually?

I would be very surprised if Nintendo did anything on black friday. They are like the Apple of the computer games world.
It's very rare to see a nintendo game reduced at all......a bit like disney animated classics.

Hopefully some retailers might bundle a little extra together for the price if they're not discounting the consoles outright.

Yeah, totally.

Nintendo games stay full price for pretty much the the life span of the console they are on if they are the first party main titles. If anything, you may get a bundle with some of the older, lesser loved, games but dont expect price drops on anything any time soon.

I don't know, some of the bundles are already offering £10 off the console + game regular price. It's not much but it's money worth saving.

Guys, is it wrong of me to be considering selling my switch?

I think after Mario is completed (and I'm already starting to get a little bored of collecting the moons) it will spend most of its time switched off. Just thinking it's actually a very expensive console. The AAA games are £50, and I know it's a hybrid console which I do like, the thought of being able to get a ps4 pro with 4 games for the same price I paid for the switch isn't sitting well. That and thinking last night just after I'd ordered Forza 7 for my son (a AAA game for £26), that this is a game half the damn price!! I don't know, I'm in two minds.

Doom for example is £50 on the switch, and a tenner for the other consoles.

Guess I have to weigh up the allure of gaming in bed lol
