I find it bizarre how this has done so well and Terminator has tanked, yet they're both as badly written as each other. I guess people just like dinosaurs.

There is no wonder people download. I can't remember the last film i bought that was actually good before seeing it. If they think im paying £15-£20 on a bluray that's utter tripe they can think again LOL. Im not into the pics either

Been something like 14 years since the last terrible jp movie and only 6 since the last terrible terminator movie.

Quite enjoyed it although obviously not a patch on the original.

With regards to the references to the original, one thing actually annoyed me probably more than it should have, namely the bit in the old control centre where they use the banner as a torch.

The scene from the end of the original, with the T-Rex roaring as the banner floats down reading "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" was one of my favourite scenes and burning the banner in this film felt a bit like heresy

Well that rather easy to work out, one of them you can take your kids to see the other you can't.
