ahh yes, the old "sorry this show that's been scheduled has been cancelled because football"
wouldnt it be great if someone could make a channel specifically for football, even sports of all kinds, so that it need not interrupt normal tv. what a great world that would be

Saturday TV- utter garbage. In fact broadcast TV is 99.99% garbage.

have to agree, it's pretty much apprentice, top gear, robot wars and dr who are the only terrestrial shows i watch any more, and most of the time i just watch them on iplayer.
as much as i love to complain about ads, youtubes 30s or 5s skippable ads pale in comparison to most channels (non bbc) policy of 15mins of adverts per hour of programming

Surely just on the sports channels? Not that it will affect me as I dont watch any live tv, just tv series and films.

Also motorsports; used to have Formula 1, Rally, Motorbikes, GT, and touring car.
Totally agree, many a Saturday night i have channel hopped in the hope of finding something that has not been on umpteen times before or that i actually want to watch .
Ugh. So basically pubs are going to be no-go zones for the entire weekend now? Unless you like the stella-swigging, carpet-carrying crowd 
It's hard enough finding a pub for a nice afternoon beer at the weekend, that doesn't have a stupid big screen telly showing a bunch of overpaid morons kicking a ball around. What joy.

Only things I watch on TV other than sport at the moment is blue planet and robot wars both of which have just finished.
